Apoyo Lodge is definitely paradise found! If you're looking to unwind and detach from the outside world for a little while, this place is perfect since it's so secluded from any other town or resort you feel like you're really going off the grid! The Laguna de Apoyo is an ancient imploded volcano with water and "sand" rich in minerals...

The Lodge is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures do not do it justice. Its secluded on the edge of a old volcano that is now a lake. The water is full of minerals, so its great for your skin, but other wildlife (crocodiles) can't live in it. We did a week long meditation retreat here and it was perfect for us....

SERVICE- The owner is gracious, organized and detail-oriented. We chose the space to participate in a 5-day silent meditation and yoga retreat and her staff was completely accommodating of our needs (they maintained silence, orchestrated communication mechanisms we could use when necessary, and were silent themselves). They were BEYOND accommodating. This is the best service I have EVER had at...

We visited Apoyo Lodge as part of a meditation retreat and have an amazing time. The staff was extremely courteous and the natural beauty of the area is stunning. We all slept with our windows open wide to hear the waves of the lake in the distance and many of us kept our doors open throughout the retreat to let...

I went to Apoyo Lodge for a yoga and health retreat and had one of the best and most moving experiences of my life. The Lodge is set within an imploded volcano next to a huge lake that fills the crater of the volcano and is a most beautiful setting. There are plenty of places to relax, unwind, take in...

Apoyo Lodge is hidden in what looks like an oasis on the edge of Apoyo Lagoon. I was there for a 6-day yoga/wellness retreat and it has to be one of the most peaceful, relaxing and quiet places I've ever been to: you have the lagoon (who's water envelops you like a warm blanket), hammocks tied to palm trees in...

We've chosen Apoyo Lodge for a place to chill out after exploring Nicaragua, and boy, we were right! The mini resort at the end of a bumpy road, one mile from "the civilization" is sunk in tropical greenery and impeccably maintained. The food is VEGAN! For us, carnivores, it required a leap of faith, but YES!, it was worth it!...

This place is absolutely stunning - and very hard to get to. When I visited the last 2 kms of road were very difficult to drive on and arriving at night was not good. The owners are working on rebuilding it - just be aware and specify a higher vehicle. The lodge itself is gorgeous - the lake breathtaking. I...

If you care about peace, health, beauty, and kindness, there is no better place to stay in Laguna de Apoyo than Apoyo Lodge. The owner, Miriam, is masterfully caring for guests with stylish, comfortable and impeccable rooms facing lush gardens, a tranquil beach, and the always-wonderful Apoyo crater lake.
