My brother, I and other friends stayed for several days at Norome Villas. There are about fifty villas of varying size built in the forest along a paved road that ascends the slope of the crater of an extinct volcano overlooking the lake in the crater. The entire forest within the crater has been designated a National Preserve and no...

The atmosphere is simply gorgeous and we had a very pleasant stay. The area itself is an ecological marvel and really a must see if you are visiting Nicaragua. The cities of Granada and Masaya are nearby and both are charming places to visit. Staff was pleasant and helpful and the "villas" were very comfortable. Highly recommended.

I came for one night and stayed 4. The hotel is under new management and is being remodeled. The view of the lake is lovely. I had howler monkeys within 12 feet of my room. I had just finished a mission trip with Operation Smile and just wanted to relax. My plan was to end up in San Juan del...

My husband and I spent 3 weeks at Norome. This was our fifth visit in four years. There is new managment and visible improvements. Our villa was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Staying at Norome gives one an opportunity to observe the birds and monkeys of the area up close. My husband enjoyed getting...

I just returned from Norome Villas at Laguna de Apoyo, Nicaragua. What an incredible place! The setting is amazing-jungle-like and well-maintained-howler monkeys visible (and audible!) in the trees, a gorgeous and warm lake, (bring water shoes, as it is a rocky entrance) hiking trails, good restaurant (slow service, but welcome to Nicaragua)..Our villa was lovely-nicely furnished with a kitchen and...

I stayed here at the end of January, a good time to be in Nicaragua. The villas are on the side of the crater looking down over the lake. The lake & surroundings are uniquely beautiful, I don't know any other place like this. The villas are kept clean and the staff are very friendly. Take food for the kitchen...

I spent 3 nights at Norome. The staff was helpful with the reservations. The hotel arranged for my airport pickup and ride to San Juan del Sure. The staff was incredibly friendly. The Villas are beautiful and the location is amazing. The hotel also arranged for several tours which were great. I plan on returning to Norome villas next year.

The place was nearly empty over Christmas, and yet we had to specially request cushions for the rock hard (literally made of stones) built-in sofas, and more than one chair for the huge balcony when 5 people were staying there. Service was lackadaisical, but our needs were eventually met. Just has a feeling of going slowly down the gurgler...and not...

We stayed at Norome for 3 nights expecting a bit of luxury at the beginning of our honeymoon. They organised a taxi for us from Managua airport which while probably a little overpriced was on time and took us directly to the hotel. Our room on arrival was located close to the reception (the resort climbs a long way up...
