High up in the rain forest the hotel comprises individual chalet -type accommodation, each unit with terrace equipped with rocking chairs and an individual (screened) hot tub.Rooms were spacious and well equipped (tho no TV or wi-fi in rooms - both available in reception/dining block). Staff very attentive. Property has organic orchard, green house, free-range chickens and trout farm and...

Thank you Deeple for giving us the pleasure to be your hosts. This is a beautiful hotel/spa, surrounded by streams and waterfalls. The staff is friendly, helpful, and well-informed. The food is excellent. The 1k+ walk to the three waterfalls is very worthwhile. Some minor things -- it can be cold at night (we were there in February), and the small electric heater (eco-conscious!) doesn't quite do the job; the stone floors...

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and I can not think of a better end to our vacation than our stay here. We stayed at some other nice properties in Costa Rica. This hotel is in a beautiful, picturesque setting. The cabin is beautiful and spacious. We particularly love the outdoor hot tub on the private deck. We enjoyed our three night day but we don’t think this hotel is for everyone. Being one of the most eco-friendly hotels, it is no surprise that El Sicencio has a number of rules for...

Great spa. Walking trails. Everything but the weather is perfect. Three days of teeming, torrential rain. Arnay, the manager, has done everything possible to make our stay...
