The place was more or less fine, simple but clean accommodations but the staff and owners were what made it horrible...they were just huge gossips and talking badly about everyone on the island, and in front of guests! don't stay here, there are plenty of other places, some with even better prices, and staff with a much better attitude.

Hanga Roa is an expensive place to stay , but in this hotel you'll get what you paid for and compared with the other hotels it's the best total package possible. You have a nice garden , great kitchen , nice rooms with airco and a very pleasant host lady.

We've been back a while now form our trip, but as we had such a good stay at Tuapae Cabins that we wanted to share our experiences. The cabins were clean and comfortable and there is a great extra house you can use with a tv, dvd player and kitchen which is a great place to chill out and also... More

We stayed 4 nights in Tua Pae Cabins and had a very positive experience. Tua Pae Cabins is one of the nicer places we have stayed in South America. Raquel, the owner, welcomed us at the airport, provided us with simple (and very clean) accommodations, and was always around with good advice. Her property has a spacious common area with... More

Three cabins and a "bonus" house, if you will, make up this wonderful place. Raquel Roe, born and raised on the island, a former Polinesian dancer and school teacher is the owner and host. The bonus house has a fully stocked kitchen, refrigerator, dishes, dinining table - incredibly important as practically everything is double what you would pay on the... More

The cabins are just round from the centre and within walking distance of the airport (not really relevant as you will be picked up and dropped off). They are clean and the bathrooms and showers are very good. The lounge area is a big plus as you have a brand new kitchen to use and a tv (but they only... More

We loved our stay at Tuapae Cabins! Easter Island is an expensive place, so it was good to find somewhere where we got a bit of value for money. The cabin itself was good - immaculately clean and kept so by the owner, Raquel. The room was a good size, and had aircon (which we didn't need). There are plans... More

We stayed four nights on Easter Island in March. Via another hostel we found the Tuepae Cabins, which turned out to be a great place to stay! As this island is very remote, it is expensive though. Nevertheless, our cabin offered good value, as it was decent sized and very clean. The lot on which is it built is nice... More

There is three very new and clean cabins available. There is also in a separate building a large spacious very new and clean kitchen and TV area for the use of Tuapae visitors. It is a short walk to everything in Hanga Roa (max 15 minutes to get to everywhere). Grocery store across the street. Gas station up the road... More

Tuapae Cabins, run by Carlos and his lovely family, were quite simply fantastic. Carlos was an excellent host, making us feel at home instantly, and offering assistance whenever he could. In the end he probably helped organise most of our excursions on the island - which is normally something we'd do ourselves. The cabins, situated next to his family home,... More
