I have travelled for many year, all around the world and what I will tell never hapenned to me. I have a CONFIRMED reservation to stay for a week with my family at Taha Tai Hotel. I read other rewiews saying that the hotel staff aren't friendly and most of the time arrogant. This is true. The hotel cancelled my...

We spent a couple of days in Rapa Nui and found the stay and experience very enjoyable. We were part of a group of people running the marathon and half marathon and the hotel made things as easy and comfortable as possible for us. One down side was the breakfast in the mornings, although sufficient, not a very big selection...

Our flight arrived in Easter Island very early in the morning. We arrived at the hotel at about 6am. The staff didn’t allow us to check-in unless we paid an extra charge of $100, even though after paying the ransom, we were shown to an empty, clean room. If the hotel wanted to give a good impression to guests who...

On the positive side, handy to Hanga Roa (the town). It's clean, nice outlook from the bar and restaurant. Downside, walls are very thin and can hear conversations in the adjoining rooms. Toilet flush is under great pressure and can hear all adjoining rooms flushing during the night- dreadful when you have people with weak bladders!. Corridors are tiled with...

We just left Taha Tai a few days ago so I am writing this review while my memory is still fresh. The hotel was overall pleasant but overpriced for what you get (or don't get). We paid US$220/night to stay in bungalow #2. Pros: The hotel is walking distance to downtown. Exit the hotel property by the restaurant and turn...

There are positive and negative sides of this hotel which I stayed for 3 nights in a double bungalow during late April 2012. Negative comments: (1) Check-in - Our flight arrived in Easter Island very early in the morning. We arrived at the hotel at about 7am. The staff didn’t allow us to check-in early (even though they said our...

During our round-the-world honeymoon, my wife and I spent 4 days in Rapa Nui, one of the most wonderful and fantastic places we have ever visited in our life, staying at the Taha Tai. We had a bungalow, that was pretty clean, large and comfortable, with the sound of the ocean coming inside (sea is just 3 minutes walk and...

A very nice hotel set in attractive grounds on the ocean front. Large rooms in the main building plus cottages in the gardens. Swimming pool area and wi-fi in the lobby. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

The hotel is a bit run down and is not as nice as a typical Howard Johnson's (but then virtually none of the hotels in Easter Island meet the standards that we expect in the US from a minimum hotel/motel). However, the room was large and very clean; the staff universally helpful and bilingual. Like many of the hotels in...

The Taha Tai Hotel has rooms and bungalows. We stayed four nights in a room with space enough, bathroom also enough but could be renewed. For us the main reason for the "but" is we were in a small island near the ocean and we had not sea view. This was strange and means the hotel was not well designed....
