Whilst visiting friends who live in Beer,on 20th November, they asked us to join them for Sunday lunch at the Dolphin. The carvery lunch was exceptional and generous along with the service by Danny who I believe is the proprietor. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and and was very tasty. We all really enjoyed it. Well done Danny.

Ate here last week. Looking forward to good lunchtime meal, but had very mixed reviews. Quite a varied menu with lots of pub favourites and some 'specials'. I had steak and kidney pie. Good plateful of steak and loads of kidney BUT the pie crust left a lot to the imagination. It was a slab (only way to describe it)...

Came upon this hotel and it's lovely bar/restaurant on a Sunday after a long coastal walk. They serve a delicious carvery, large portions with plenty of veg options but the best bit is they are very dog friendly. There were so many diners there with their four legged furry friends. They even do a doggy biscuit run around the pub...

I've never been in here before and have to say I was very surprised . It seems to be in two halves one for the dinning and the other the pub side , but there is a bar in the dining side Also . A very busy place on a Saturday eve so it's obviously popular . We came here...

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this family run hotel. Excellent rooms, first class housekeeping, superb food and bars and friendly, helpful staff. No complaints at all and would highly recommend for a stay in this historic fishing village.

Went there with family last Sunday for a carvery and wished we had not bothered. The beef was so tough it was inedible, couldn't even cut it with a knife. Roast potatoes were barely warm and the vegetables not impressive. Twice that week we went to reception to complain to be told on both occasions there was no manager there...
