A lovely little hotel with excellent food and service. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a family room with the kids they enjoyed it so much they would have stayed another night just for the yummy food! Very comfortable room and with a traditional old world feel. Could not fault it if we tried.

We stayed here for two night DB&B booked through booking.com at a very good price. The food was superb, and included three courses at dinner with an excellent breakfast. The rooms were large with large very comfortable beds and the staff service was excellent. it is also dog friendly and dogs are allowed in the bar but not the dining...

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on a spa trip to Gleneagles. The hotel staff were warm and welcoming on arrival and the rooms were freshly decorated with modern facilities in an old fashioned setting with beams and leaded windows. My room was close to the kitchen extractor but it went off at 10.30om and didn't start up...

No-one in authority with a visible presence managing things. The place seems staffed by a bunch of students. Waited approximately 20 minutes to get a drinks order in the restaurant then waited a further 60 minutes for the food to arrive. Restaurant was by no means busy so am at a loss to understand what caused the hold up. Absolutely...

Six of us ate here last night . Food was good but the service was shocking . Too many inexperienced young staff with no one in charge. A total shambles . I complained as I received a huge bone in my fish cake . I had to prompt the waiter to ask if he told the chef . No apology...

We've been here for both lunch and dinner recently and stayed overnight here in the past. I understand that the management has changed since we stayed but that's of no real consequence as its still a good place to eat, and I would assume, stay too, as there are plenty of good walks locally and other things to do. The...

I'm sad to be writing this review as I've been to the Tormaukin many times over the past 20 years with many happy memories of very good food and service. However the past two times I have been there have been extremely disappointing. A fiftieth birthday celebration in December 16 was marred by incredibly slow service and staff that stayed...

We arrived after the Scot v Wal match. a little earlier than arranged but were welcomed to our table for 12 waiting for us. We did have to ask for menus but was told that they hadn't been brought over because we were early but no matter they duly arrived. All of the meals were superb, well cooked, presented and...

This was our second stay at the Tormaukin Inn. Rob the manager and the rest of the staff were very friendly and welcoming from the minute we arrived. The rooms are quirky and quaint. We loved the exposed stone wall in our room at the front of the hotel (room 6). It was cosy, clean and very spacious. We had...
