I have known this hotel since the 1950s and it's still the same!! But it's been very tastefully refurbished! The staff have always been outstanding and I'd say that is still true! We went for their buffet dinner. It was fully booked so very busy, but the staff couldn't do enough for us. Wonderful service! The buffet was good, not...

The rooms are large for families and the room was clean. There is a major need for upgrading to make the hotel much better. They do not offer mosquito nets despite the large mosquitoes that attack nonstop. The wifi works better closer to the reception area. Ask for rooms facing the courtyard as the Ines facing the entrance are noisy...

Lovely old hotel with good wife. Rather surprised that the only electric socket was immediately behind the bed - not a good place to boil a kettle of water! Did not like having the sink in the bedroom rather than the bathroom. Thin white cotton curtains are no good at keeping out the lights from the street a few feet...

We were at Bandarawela hotel for the lunch. Surrounding was really ambient and peaceful. They had some selected ranges of meals, but tasted delicious. Plenty of space to park vehicle. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

We stayed 18th Feb night here with my cousins' family in 3 double rooms. Whole hotels is like a colonial type bungalow and we were felt like visitors of a British Governor in his bungalow. This cosy resort has the comfort to make you relax and feel the silence of calmness surrounded there. The double rooms we were offered was...

We reviewed this hotel in January and gave it high stars. This time we found the same classical run colonial hotel, however the restaurant was not in good form. We feel that the hotel is lowering standards to accommodate large tour groups, especially in the restaurant. Service was lacking, food standard was average at best, and poor in some respects....

This was the only hotel I could find with wheel chair access for my mum in Bandarawela and Ella area. Spacious rooms with all the facilities still maintain the colonial look. Great Restaurant and bar. Staff members were friendly and helpful.

On a wet day in Bandarawela it was a great find, this old colonial style hotel. Great to just have a wander round it and look at the artifacts, as it was we found it an excellent lunch stop, with a variety of food delivered to the lounge.

This old, lovely, and unintentionally kitchy hotel provides the traveller with great service and a peek into Sri Lanka's colonial past. The rooms are simple, but comforatable, It is a great oasis after trekking through tea gardens and seeing the sights. The town itself is unremarkable, but there are some lovely hiking areas which are easily accessed by tuk-tuk or...

Beautiful old colonial stylish building. The service is great, the restaurant is nice and pleasant. The rooms need to be renovated. But we hope that they'll keep the style and atmosphere with the renovation. (and the Richard Clayderman music gets annoying after a while)
