Room had beautiful view, it was clean and full with nicknacks. And everywhere little signs wat NOT to do. Bed was comfy enough but mattress felt old. Other reviews mentioned the lack of a lock on the door. That doesn't bother us. B&B-owners accept us in their home and trust us with their stuff. So we do that likewise. The...

We arrived in Carbost at half way in our Scottish trip, planning to stay there (guess how much) two nights. David welcomed us in a super friendly way, looking since the beginning like a really nice host; never too chatty but quite interested in having a pleasant conversation.( He also gave us some helpful advices, and later he even called...

A nice house spotlessly immaculate but the feeling of goodwill ends there. There could be a few reasons why there are no locks on the bedroom doors, my thinking is - given the 2 nights we were there - its a means of control .... Control sums up Marsco perfectly ... everything from being precise as to what you could...

We have just spent a week at Marsco. I have to admit that a few days before we were due to go there my husband found some bad reviews and we were worried, but it was too late to change our plans and we had to go and keep our fingers crossed. Oh boy, are we glad we did! David...

I stayed at Marsco bed and breakfast for a week with a friend to do some hiking in the mountains. We had the twin room which was just right for us. On arrival we were warmly greeted by our host David. Each morning Christine our hostess dished us up a nice breakfast and for the rest of the week she...

Quick summary – Rigid and inflexible arrival and leaving times. No locks on bedrooms so belongings unsafe and unrelaxed as sounds like neighbours coming into our room, very detailed ordering of breakfast day before (not just cooked ingredients), and no flexibility when slight variation requested, no food in rooms, intrusive behaviour, no en-suite and being told to spilt as a...

If you enjoy being insulted and treated like a child, this is the place for you. David, and particularly Christine are both rude to people who don't abide by their rules exactly. Standing within a foot or two looking at your guests eating is extremely rude, or at least we found it so. All the other negative comments on here...

David and Christine were welcoming, inviting us into 'their home' The room was comfortable and very clean. David provided us with an excellent map along with suggestions as where to stop and explore. Very helpful in our journey around the island. Good selection for breakfast foods. I loved Christine's porridge! Only 2 small suggestions, David and Christine prefer that the...

David and Christine were very accommodating in allowing us to book a room for the Friday and Sunday night as we planned to tackle the Cuillin Traverse on the Saturday and Sunday with a night in the mountains. They were also very kind in keeping the room open for us on the Saturday, at a reduced rate, in case the...

You're in expert hands with David and Christine. The location is unforgettable - both for its view, and the fact that its within stumbling distance from a superb pub. Really nice breakfasts too and they're into their wildlife which is always a plus. Would go back in a flash.
