A difficult review to write - trying to get a balance between being enthusiastic and yet still being honest & helpful to other travellers. Lots of positive points. Michael is a friendly, helpful and enthusiastic host. Delightful location by the river in the centre of this very quiet Black Forest village. Easy parking in the quiet street right outside the...

The thing that made this Bed and Breakfast great was the hospitality! Michael is an amazing host! He is probably the nicest host we have ever encountered in our travels. The dinner we had was so delicious and we had an excellent time sitting in the biergarten that overlooked the river. Such a peaceful, tranquil place...exactly what we were looking...

Stunning location, great village to explore, safe motorcycle parking, fabulous find at the end of a great day exploring the Black Forrest. Landlord was the perfect host, great food, great beer. Other was a varied menu catering for all tastes, we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace by the river to eat our food.

Michael the owner, what can I say? I miss you like family only more! So, so warm and engaging. I had a compound sprained ankle...

A great place to stay. Michael, the host, is the most welcoming patron you could ever wish to meet. The hotel is warm and welcoming, with good food, and comfortable clean rooms. Schiltach is a very pretty village nestled in the Black Forest. Highly recommended.
