When it comes to Castles I am always a bit weary before visiting ,because, for me, it either has to be a well kept real castle or I would rather stay in a small hotel that has atmosphere. Quite a few castles in Germany and Poland have opened as hotels and yet they are totally lacking in style, warmth and...

We stayed in the building next door (rentners haus). Spacious big room, good beds and furnished with antique furniture, bathroom bit small but good for us. No curtains in the room, but shutters. Missed the female touch. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with a very good choice of breads, fruit, yoghurt and cereals. Also lots of cheeses, cold cuts...

Booked room on short notice, must have received the smallest one they have and without window in very small bathroom. However our experience in THE REMISE restaurant was very good, excellent and friendly service, very nice surroundings, good food and excellent dessert - no complaints.

The room we stayed in was very comfortable and nicely decorated with restored antique furniture. Unfortunately it was not possible to put an additional bad for a child in any room in the main castle building, therefore we were proposed to stay in double room in the remise building just near the castle. I was a bit upset about this...

The Schloss is located in a beautiful, idyllic part of Germany that has not really been explored by very many people. The small town of Neuhausen which it overlooks is worth visiting . There is the Nutcracker Museum with its largest collection of nutcrackers in the world, and several little shops with locally produced gift items. One of my favorites...

The castle is great when it comes to architecture, but the do up doesn't do any justice. Rooms are comfortable and big, the bathrooms are what anyone would expect, but the furniture is completely wrong. There are some antique pieces of various ages mixed with modern furniture (leather couch) which do no go together at all. This gives an overall...

The free guided tour by the founder of the Glashütte museum is superb. Here you get an impression of the history of the Castle located along the old salt route. Since 1945 the Castle has been used as a children's home and a local cultural center. In 1989 much of the Castle burned and it is now being restored by...

We absolutely loved our stay here! It is a beautiful castle and the room was spacious and clean with an amazing view over the garden. However I thought it was a shame that the furniture didn't really match the feel of the castle and the bathroom was quite small with an awkward shower. If it wasn't for these two things...

Very nice castle in a wonderful landscape. The service is friendly, but not perfect. Breakfast was okay, but not really good. We came half an hour before the buffet closed and everything was unappetizing and some plates were empty. We stayed 2 nights in a suite, the room was clean and okay, but not really with charm and taste. No...

We stayed for four nights in the Purschenstein. To make it short: An excellent experience in an excellent hotel. The ambiente is undiscribable beautiful, the food one of the best I ever had, staff very friendly and professional. The only small critics I would have is the bed as this does not correspond with the rest of the interieur. Too...
