I have made reservation by calling them two weeks before I check in, receptionist wasn't able to answer my simple question by giving explanation of the difference of rooms, lucky someone able to explain to me after that. The room is good, toilet is small, toiletries was provided. The reception of the television is very bad and we really don't enjoy the sleeping due to the air-condition stop automatically in the mid-night, I woke up few time just to switch it on. Lastly, the parking space is limited, about 7 parking space available? Not sure just remember one row of empty space, we forced to park our car at the shop beside the hotel and wake up in the early morning to move our car. This is also one of the reason we can't sleep well, worrying our car, so make sure you back early to have a parking space.

Situated in the centre of Sibu, this hotel is easily missed. The signboard is on top of the building and the entrance has this old signage that looks like a signage from an old school. Was happy with the room on the executive floor. Newly renovated with comfy beds and simple modern furnishings. I love the ensuite bathroom - small but it has a rain shower and modern fittings. lovely. good rate. recommended!

Very reasonable, respectable and comfortable hotel in the middle of this busy Chinatown. Five minutes from the express boat terminal for Kuching etc. Also the huge city market, with fantastic local fruit (and live ducks and hens, wrapped up in rolls of paper with head poking out, of all descriptions). Exec room was adequate, everything worked. Pleasant coffee shop for breakfast and meals. Free excellent wifi throughout hotel. Helpful, nice staff.

The rooms are a great deal for the size of the room and the amenities. There is a smart TV in my room and the rooms are very clean. I had business meetings and used the conference room for the meetings it was conducive. The hotel restaurant had a wide array of cuisines and local delicacies, it is also perfect for gatherings.

Those who intend to visit Sibu in the future, please do NOT include Garden Hotel as 1 of your options for stay due to the following reasons:

1. The hotel receptionists are REALLY unfriendly & NOT helpful. They SHOULD quit the job if they're not interested to treat well guests;
2. There's a time while I was watching an Astro program. In spite of no TV remote control, the program had suddenly been changed remotely. I'd to call the receptionist twice just to ask the hotel to change the program back. I was REALLY pissed off @ that time;
3. The breakfast provided is very limited in choice & not tasty. Coz of this, I EVEN asked the receptionist to exclude the breakfast as I feel it's not worthwhile;
4. There's NO hose in the bathroom for 'pee & poop'. IN FACT, I'd to request a bucket myself from the cleaner.

I'm still @ this hotel while writing this review. I stay @ this hotel for 2 nights from Aug 9-10.

It was our spontaneous decision to stay here after failed to find a room in a hotel nearby. Its building was quite good and seem promising for a decent room. Entering the lobby was a heaven after experiencing a tiring day before. the lobby was very nice, with a modern furnishing and wall to wall mirror. We checked in (with surprisingly expensive deposit, even though for only one night stay) and went to our room, hoping to sleep in a nice room, at least a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, we are welcomed by small cockroaches on the table, chairs, everywhere! the bathroom is a bad news, cracks and molds. the shower stand is very sad looking. the bed was not nice either! the mattress was so uncomfortable to sleep on. basicly, the room was far different compare to the nice lobby. i will not coming back to this hotel.

Me and my family including my extended family stayed in Garden hotel while in Sibu, and we all had such a great experience. Firstly, the services that they provided are excellent. The receptionist helped us with all pur problems, such as interpretation, directions, and even helping with tickets and where to buy things. They are very helpful and the best thing is they all multilingual from bahasa, english, mandarin, cantonese to chinese dialect. My family very happy when they can talk to them even in dialect. When we told the receptionist that we would like to extend our 2 days stay, they really work hard and trying to accomodate us (some of the hotels are usually ignorant) even when the hotel is fully booked. Secondly, the location of the hotel is only 5-7 minutes walk to restaurants (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and shops.
Thirdly, the buffet breakfast are quiet in variety than I thought it would be, from malaysian, chinese, and western food. (do not expect fancy things like all the fancy and bigger hotels)
The amnemities are complete! From the basic shower gel, shampoo, body lotion to tooth brush set, hair cover, comb, razor, cotton buds, cotton balls, even nail file. This amazed me since it is only small hotel but everything is provided in detail.
The room is little small, however is nicely renovated, clean, the water pressure is good, and great pillows. The hotel does have a comfortable cafe but I did not see any live band playing (maybe it was in the old days).
They do not have a big space for parking, but there are public parking nearby and very easy to find (we did not have any problem finding a public parking on the street even with 4 cars).
The wifi is very strong, but with the fully booked rooms sometimes can be disconnected but it can easily reconnect.
Overall, it was a great stay. Me and my family all very satisfied. Surely will stay again next time we come to Sibu.

I stayed only 2 days and here are my experiences:
- not helpful & unfriendly receptionist
- limited choice of breakfast
- tv remote controller not provided (Astro program controlled by the staff, not by customer)
so end up, I'm switch to another hotel.

I need to stay at a hotel due to some projects here. Decided to stay at Garden, first impression when coming into the lobby was quite good. When i enter the room, was quite disappointed. Asked for a queen bed but i got twin bed. it's ok i'm not that fussy. then it's getting worst when the aircond switch off in the middle of the night. Plus tv reception is very bad.It's better if u don't provide any tv services and give a lower rates. Parking spaces are very limited, I have to park outside and walk sometimes. Water clogged in the shower and the worst of all when I was surfing internet on my bed, a cockroach walk happily on the wall. C'mon, we're paying for a hotel, not some old creepy place. U have a nice location, why don't make ppl happy, everyone will come there ma. They should have told me renovation works is going on, so I will not stay here. Not a good experience for me.
