The hotel looks premium and clean. However, need some update on the lobby decoration. Deluxe King Room. Room condition clean and tidy. Room light ambient subtle but no option for bright light (not ideal for working at night). The bathroom is spacious but hot water temperature level is low. Toiletries is well prepared as well as all the other accessories in the room. Television is the old school type (CRT box tv). Sufficient power plug for charging electrical device. Wifi speed was decent. Room service is just ok. The front office staff was friendly but not helpful. I was not offered a smoking room or non-smoking room during check-in. Unfortunately, I was given a smoking room. My room was stench with cigarettes smokes from other room. When I call room service for enquiry and request for a room change, they did not offer any room nor no apologies. The only answer I get was "all the room are full". Overall, the facilities and cleanliness is satisfied. Better hospitality service is much appreciated.

Stayed here for 4 times on working trip. The room was pleasantly clean comfortable, toilets bathroom all well equipped. Perhaps can improve more TV channels and also the window glass to clean up so that guest can view clear on the Sibu city view looking. Other than that, its all good.

Centrally located at Sibu town centre. Spacious room. The only things that need improvements are the hotel windows need to be cleaned. Looks like never been cleaned since opening. The same goes with the hotel and room carpets. Is time to be replaced by smooth or non carpet flooring to avoid accumulations of baterial and for easy cleaning. Hotel staff have problem to communicate in English causing much of miscommunication. My wife used the room hair dryer and had a electric shot by the hair dryer and the burnt hair dryer smell over the whole room. Reported to the hotel but they did not seem to understand the danger and still keep the hair dryer in the room which is attached inside the drawer.

We arrived early around 11am and tried checking in. We booked 5 rooms for our family. The front desk staff called Erana or something similar didn’t allow us to check in at first. We asked if the rooms are ready? She replied yes, they are ready. We told her maybe let us check into 1 room since the room was ready and we have 2 kids with us. Her reply “ I know! But this is our procedure”. All this while keeping a stern face as if we are her students, not guests. Long story short, she checked us into 1 room eventually. The room is very dated but kept clean. Beds and pillows are all out of their shape so we didn’t rest well at night. Restaurant crews are quite friendly but not well trained.
On the morning during check out, my son accidentally broke the 2 coffee cups in the room. We went to the counter and inform the front desk. We are ready to pay but would expect a better treatment. Jane who served us again gave us stern and straight face while telling us to wait while she checks on the price of the 2 cups. We don’t mind paying for the broken cups but if your front desk staffs are not trained to greet or serve guests in your so called 4 stars hotel, don’t put them at the front desk...ask them to go and become a secondary teacher. And if they think they are more superior than your guests, don’t work in a hotel! A simple smile or greeting or “ it’s ok but let me check how much is the cup.” Would have made your guests feel more welcomed.
For the kind of price I paid for the stay, it is considered a waste into the river for me.

When my friends drop by Sibu for a visit, normally I will recommend them to stay at RH Hotel. The aubergine is one of the finest hotels in this quaint town of Sibu. Oh ya, it's rated 3 stars only. Some amenities require serious overhauls because they're obsolete. RH Hotel, if compared to Kingwood Hotel, is more strategically situated because it's located right in the heart of the town, so you have easy access to the shopping mall, or to other places of interest in Sibu.

A lot of private business and government sectors functions are organized here.If you feel a bit bored, enjoy the song entertainment at the ground floor of the hotel by Philippines band.
Beside the hotel is Wisma Sanyan, the 28 storeys building with shopping mall. Worth to had a visit.

I hope the management is looking at this review.

RH hotel was once the newest and best hotel in 2010. I stayed there then for all of my business trips to Sibu. It is a small town with a few hotels but RH stands out for the quality. Ever since then, i have been back to Sibu about 7 to 8 times in the last 9 years but opted to stay at Tanahmas or Kingwood.

On my last visit over the weekend, i decided to try RH hotel again and was ghastly surprised by the bad condition and management of this hotel.

A box TV with 5 free to air channels, worn out mattress, safe that was already locked (spoke to counter staff that did nothing about it), strand of woman hair in the bathroom, chips and stains in every corner of the room. Free wifi is non-existent in room and better in lobby.

In the lobby, you can see that the extremely well worn out sofas at the waiting area and general lack of a welcoming spirit across the hotel. I cant fault the service staff but i think this sorry state of a hotel should be down to the management's lack of direction or efforts for maintenance.

I have absolutely zero idea how RH hotel can be run like this and yet continue to charge a premium in its prices over all the other hotels. Even the old Tanahmas has been given a new lease of life with extensive renovation and a good cafe.

If you are reading this review, please save yourself the money and opt for the other hotels in Sibu. Location is great but Sibu is a small town. You can go anyway in Sibu town with a taxi or a grab taxi.

I paid USD1.0 for a grab taxi to commute within 2 km in Sibu town.

The worst buffet I had ever taken, even in Sibu. It was RM68 per person but it was only worth RM18.
The food was yucky, very little variety. The lounge was not clean as there were small insects around, perching on the cakes and fruits. The lounge was terrible too, warm and badly furnished. The staff was not efficient. The dinning tables were not laid with forks and spoons. I would only grade the lounge 3/10 and the food 2/10.

I travelled with my family of five. We decided to try this hotel for its reputation as one of the leading hotels in Sibu, not to mention one of the latest ones. But upon our arrival, we were greeted by ‘door-boy’ who seemed to be on a forced slavery, no smiles, and no courtesy to help us unloading our luggage. My first impression isn’t improving upon reaching our room, located at 4th floor, where there’s classical CRT tv waiting for us, there’s kids drawing on the wall, the sofa has cigarette burn mark on it and the furniture is poorly maintained. I have to mention that the hallway leading to our room is too dirty for a hotel of this stature. Our disappointment is further compounded by inability to connect to hotel’s Wi-Fi facility and the front desk staff explained that it is a well-known problem (they don’t even bother to rectify it). The breakfast buffet spread is also limited in varieties.

However, there are also positive notes to be added, the location is great (the overhead bridge to Wisma Sanyan is very useful), the swimming pool is great (although I wonder how frequent the maintenance is being done). And some of the front desk staff is a great and extremely patient.

Overall, out stay is disappointing because we have come to expect great services and well-maintained facilities from this hotel. I surely will not be coming back to this hotel, and surely will not recommend this hotel to any of my friends and families.

A staff named misha misha responsd to my review in the hotel page in facebook with a very rude way. Is this u called a customer service??? I am very not satisfied with your crews. You should improve your staff and also please send them for training. I have never been to any hotel as bad as rh hotel. It is very frustrating.
