This is our second visit to L'Eveche and we will return again! We have visited as part of a tour group for the last two summers. Although the rooms are basic (and the towels are scratchy!) the real jewel of this place is it's setting...More
Three nights in a beautiful peaceful setting but with good access to the Cathar sites we wanted to visit. The hotel room was simple and clean and the whole place had bags of character complete with abbey ruins. Restaurant food was excellent and service good.
Clean & comfortable rooms that are very basic. However, a basic room becomes CHARMING once you eat dinner in the restaurant and walk outdoors. The hotel grounds, the river, the historical ruins and the entire village are simply magical. Best dessert: île flottante
Third visit to this hotel over 6 or 7 years. Wonderful setting in old Bishops palace. Huge grounds, right on the river. Right next to ruined Abbey. Plenty of place to park. Big room overlooking a courtyard, with giant trees.
Restaurant is excellent as well...More
