This review is long overdue. We had the fortune of staying at Elephant Rock a few years ago for my daughter's first ever trip to SA. We enjoyed it so much that we rebooked for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary at the start of April. One cannot explain how wonderful this resort / lodge is. From the moment you arrive...

There are not enough superlatives to describe a stay at Elephant Rock-absolutely everything rates a perfect 10. As soon as you arrive at the gate, you are made to feel special, as if they have been waiting just for you. It was lovely being collected at the car park and driven to the lodge, where we were greeted with refreshing...

The lodge was very comfortable, the staff could not have been more helpful to fulfill our experience. It was the highlight of my 2 weeks in South Africa. We saw all the big 5,

Our 3 night stay was our treat to ourselves on our 50th Anniversary. It couldn't have been better. The welcome, the staff, the food and our room were all excellent. The lounge with the roaring fire was so welcome on a cold grey day. Our game drives were just perfect and made so interesting and Steph went out of her...

5 of us travelled to Elephant Rock for a holiday of a lifetime. We were not let down, from the rooms, all individual houses with fantastic facilities. Ideal for couples or big groups. We hope to go back with a big group to take the whole lodge - sleeps 10. Ideal size for the game drives - 4x4 sits 10...

Whilst scraping ice off my car windscreen this morning I reminisced about the amazing experience we had in the sunny African plains at Elephant Rock 4 weeks ago. My husband, my parents and I stayed there for 2 nights in February in the family suite. This was my first safari/game reserve visit. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very...

Greatly enjoyed our two day visit. The staff were very friendly and competent and ranger Steve was excellent. Some memorable sightings. Found Elephant Rock and Nambiti Game Reserve preferable to some bigger, longer established Reserves. Good food, comfortable accommodation and enjoyed the company of a small group of fellow guests.
