Travellers' Choice
Created in 1952, La Butte is part of the history of Plouider and the Cote des Legendes. It is an unmissable stopover in Finistere! The hotel offers a breathtaking view of the Bay of Goulven, a gourmet restaurant offering a carte with a strong regional identity (1 * Michelin 2014 guide), a delicate grocery store valuing raw products on a short carte, contemporary and comfortable rooms with soft and warm tones and a relaxing and reassuring spa ranked 5 Lotus by the Label Spa de France.

What a delightful experience in such a relaxing environment! This hotel restaurant and spa was recommended by our friend Yann Germain, himself a one-star Michelin at Sessenheim. We are so glad we followed his advice. We had dinner at Nicolas and Solene’s gourmet restaurant. Every dish was a pleasure for our senses. Chef Nicolas comes to each table and explains his dishes. His passion, creativity and excellence transpire in every detail. Solene and their staff are so attentive and so efficient. The next morning we had breakfast at their Comptoir: what an experience! I toured the buffet so many times. I was in heaven with all these fermented foods. Thank you for your leadership in this cuisine! Finally, don’t miss to stroll to the chef’s gardens and discover all their herbs, flowers and great vegetables that you will be enjoying in your dishes.

Hotel's Favourite
This was the first hotel location for our trip to Bretagne (Aug-2022, Plouider & Carnac). Even though we 'only' had a standard room, it had everything we expected. We liked the cleanliness of the hotel, the very friendly staff, the Wifi, the view on the bay area (from room & breakfast area). The breakfast was according expectation for a four star hotel. Checking in and out went smoothly. We happily used the compact swimming pool and the superb lounge chairs in the spa area. The hotel offers a bistro (in the breakfast area) and a gastronomic restaurant (separate review on this). Both restaurants are used by visitors outside the hotel too, so be sure to reserve timely. Otherwise you have to find something else in an area that doesn't offer a lot of restaurants (here: middle of nowhere in the title). The bistro offers meals at reasonable prices and the quality is OK. The hotel also offers car charging facilities (2 ports) , which is not mentioned on the website. Unfortunately my charging token was not accepted.

Magic landscape, inspired cooking (two restaurants), spa with a view, friendly and competent staff…and Japanese toilets in the room ! A very special place where they make you feel at home. NB: you have NEVER seen a breakfast like here.

Outstandingly friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room with nice views out to the coast. With a superb restaurant. The stay was not cheap, but we did not stint on the wine and the food and service was beyond reproach I definitely would not hesitate to return

A great stop on our trip. The restaurant was outstanding, the staff was professional and personable, and the room was very modern and comfortable. The Hotel offers easy parking and even has its own bakery across the street.

everything was simply perfect! the staff, the room, the area, the breakfast. only little defect is the pool: definitely too small to offer a real comfortable spa accessible to families with kids, too. For the rest... we'll definitely come back! thanks!!

Three peaceful nights in a room with country and coastal views. Spa and infinity pool were excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly Ate in restaurant and bistro. Don’t miss the former. Hope to return for longer next time.

Second visits to hotels allow a certain more objectivity but remain entirely personal. The previous comments of mine remain valid even though we had a superior (larger) room this time. It was a better size than the classic rooms but the lack of hanging and storage space remain - we were just about OK for 4 nights but anything longer and you'd be hard pressed to unpack properly. That said the room was very comfortable (the bed especially so) with fine views. Very nice bathroom (no bath) but we thought that the iPad-like device which allows you to select of genre of music to play in the bathroom was an affectation. Good spa and showers but the swimming pool if really only for swimming if you're the sole user: anymore than 2 people and it becomes a leisure pool. Breakfasts are varied and of excellent quality although more work needs to be done on the scrambled eggs. The staff are - like the hotel - consistently excellent: courteous, friendly and obliging yet retaining that professionalism that is often absent in hotels these days. Nothing I've said is meant as criticism but rather are observations: La Butte remains one of our favourite hotels and we'd revisit it annually if we hadn't walked the coastal path locally sufficiently. I've done a separate review of the restaurant, which is well worth spending time in.

This was my absolute favorite hotel I stayed at with my husband in France. The room was clean and big (we did have a bigger room) and the amenities in the room were great. The view was absolutely beautiful of the cows and fields and in the distance you can see the ocean. The staff were extremely helpful, especially because our flight from Paris was delayed and we were driving into town very late. The breakfast served was exceptional. I would definitely recommend their breakfast. And the restaurant was superb and it was my favorite meal our entire trip to France. My husband and I are still talking about the meal we had at the gastronomic restaurant. I hope we can return because it was truly an enjoyable experience and I would recommend La Butte to all my friends/family.
