This was a great find, 7 of us were visiting Champagne for the weekend so we had 4 of their 5 rooms. We stayed in the Libertine room, roll top bath and a huge walk in shower. The breakfast was lovely, about 20 home made jams to choose from. We didn't taste their champagne, but we will be back! The...

If you travel through Champagne do consider staying overnight in an old, little by today's standard, champagne factory. Simple rooms with very nice bathrooms over a good sleep while fabulous breakfast (with a striking variety of 20+ kinds of confitures!) guarantees big smile and positive energy for the rest of the day.

I came back after a previous much enjoyed visit to Le Clos Margot to buy more of the Doyard family's delicious champagne and to stay overnight in one of their delightful rooms. After being offered a glass on arrival we decided to buy a bottle and sit there for a while enjoying the lovely surroundings of the tasting room. We...

We stayed here for one night at the end of August when driving through France, chosen because of its location in the south of the champagne region. Upon arrival we were offered a glass of champagne, which was lovely! It is a quaint little b&b, breakfast was amazing with lots of jams to choose from and a great selection of...

This is a most charming place - each room is uniquely decorated and named after a member of the owners' family. The rooms are super clean and quiet. Vertus is a great base for exploring the entire Champagne region.

As a B&B, Le Clos Margot was perfect for our stay with friends (and our dog). Very welcoming owners, tastefully appointed and comfortable rooms (with a kettle and small fridge), a wonderful and generous breakfast with a choice of 14 homemade jams. Then of the course there was the tasting of the champagnes of Champagne Doyard (excellent). It was well...

An attractive bed and breakfast in the heart of the champagne region and close to Epernay. We were met with a glass of champagne on our arrival as the well designed accommodation is adjacent to a small champagne producer. The room and bathroom were large and attractively designed with comfortable beds. We had a delightful meal at Le Gare, a...

Great hospitality; the welcoming glass of Blanc de Blancs being much appreciated. The room was clean and functional if not somewhat compact (€117) and the breakfast excellent. We would definitely stay here again if the need arose. Not bad value for money.

With such a huge choice of accommodation around the area, there is better around than Le Clos Margot. It is right in the middle of town - but then Vertus is a very small town. We had the same issue a other travelers with little options open for a meal. The one we did find was ordinary and expensive. The...

Good: beautiful building; well decorated and furnished; clean; warm welcome with glass of their own champagne; easy safe parking; tasty French breakfast; good access to lots of champagne houses. Bad: there was NOTHING open in Vertus after 9pm except a kebab shop (the one restaurant was closed for the holidays), so must drive to eat or go out (we suggest...
