We stayed over the New Year, the weather was bitterly cold but the accommodation was super and cosy. All the rooms look fabulous, all converted from old farm buildings , some of which are truli's. Ours was no exception and very comfortable, warm and a nice place to relax even if the weather keeps you indoors. Lovely hosts and fabulous...

My husband and I recently stayed here and we absolutely LOVED it!! It was off season so we were the only guests and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. The trullo was so cute and the bed so comfortable that we never wanted to get up. There was a wonderful view of Locorotondo, which is the cutest little...

We were made felt very welcome by everyone - the family that has owned this typical messeria for over 300 years. The tradition buildings are lovingly preserved and renovated, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. A pleasant breakfast served in the covered terrasse with pretty view over the fields to the pictoresque village of Locorontondo, a short walk away....

Stayed here for five nights in May and loved it - so peaceful and relaxing. Beautifully clean room - with trulli ceiling. It was lovely walking through the fabulous countryside, vineyard and olive groves - wild flowers were stunning, also saw a fox one afternoon. They have a donkey and pony to say hi to. Easy walk into Locorotondo -...

We have just returned from Italy and really loved our stay with Stefania and her lovely family. The hotel could not be nicer and the setting is an escape to a simpler, calmer way of life. The view towards Locorotondo is about as beautiful a view as you can get and I liked the stroll into town for the essentials....

Everything was perfect: the warm reception from the charming family, the homemade cakes at breakfast, the decoration and relaxing atmosphere of the room. A perfect base from which to tour the Vally. Plus, it is walking distance to the lovely village of Locorotondo.

Very nice experience. The view of Locorotondo from my room was breathtaking. Very relaxing place. The owners very friendly, and I would say Anna bakes the most wonderful cakes. Lovely place to stay if you want to visit the Valle D"itria, as it is very good located and with such beautiful surroundings.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to our home, I am Anna Maria Aprile, the twelfth generation owner of Masseria Aprile (AD 1700). Built in the charming Valle d'Itria 1 km (15 minutes walk) from Locorotondo. The farm has belonged to our family since 1700 (the year it was built). In 1992 together with my husband Antonio and my children Valerio and Stefania, we renovated and launched the Agriturismo. The farm is part of an agricultural estate of 25 hectares and consists of a large courtyard, wide green pastures surrounded by woods able to be explored on foot, the olive grove, the vineyard and the seventeenth century trulli, unrivalled examples of genuine architecture made from local stone. There is also the courtyard with cockerels and hens, and the small church, where my marriage was celebrated. I live with my family in the ancient stone manor house. Ali and Pasquina, our horses, along with Sisina, our donkey, are an integral part of our family! All 9 rooms have been sympathetically restored and furnished with every comfort, with objects belonging to our farm which tell our history. ... more   less
