Had a great 4 night stay with friends. A well placed base for touring the locality. Very clean with plenty of space in room. Lovely balcony with stunning views of the river. No air conditioning but a very decent fan in the room made up for this. Decent breakfast with good selection of food, juices and teas. Lovely, friendly staff. Beautiful beer garden beside the river and a public outdoor pool a stone's throw away. Overall fantastic value for money.

Very pleasant stay. Spotlessly clean and nice size room & bathroom with everything you need. Great value with nice choice for breakfast. Enjoyed a glass of wine or beer on terrace most evenings watching boats pass on Rhine. Big plus is it’s right next door to public outdoor pool complex which is a fantastic facility and only €4 entry. Nice to stay on this quieter side of Rhine and take the ferry daily to Boppard town (Only €2 and very 20 mins)

A lovely hotel beautifully ran and with lovely river views excellent wifi and a great restaurant. Our room had a balcony which had beautiful views of the river and boats cruising by feet from your window. The weather was very hot and there is no air conditioning in the rooms, which meant leaving the windows open to get some airflow. Now the downside, there is across the river a railway line which had traffic 24/7, passenger and cargo. It is not conducive to a good nights sleep. I think the hotel should install a/c which would reduce the railway noise.

Nice hotel in excellent location. Unfortunate that the opposite bank is a little bland in comparison to some other views, but none the less a lovely quiet spot next to the river. We came in the heart of winter, so didn't see the best side of the Rhine I reckon. The hotel is in a great spot to explore the Rhine valley with easy access north or south, and just a short drive from a river crossing. The food was great value and well cooked - big portions. We were confused by the lack of kettle and tea/coffee (is this a German thing, since we have found this at other hotels). It meant we asked for hot water each day so we could fill and a thermos and make ourselves a hot drink. Probably more irksome for the staff (who, fair credit, happily provided us with boiling water on request). We got a bit of a surprise on arrival with the window open. We realise this is for freshness, but in subzero temperatures not the best approach. It took hours for the room to heat up, which was a little annoying after a long drive. We also found that despite having a double bed, there were only 2x single bed covers rather than a single double bed cover. This was a little inadequate for the sleep, so we needed to ask for extra covers. Pretty good selection for the breakfast buffet.

We called in for a quick drink and ended up having a lunchtime snack. I ordered what i thought was a ham and cheese toastie which was not only HUGE but came with THREE fried eggs on top along with a side salad. My wife had a Greek Salad which was equally impressive. Along with a couple of drinks apiece it was just under Euro29. All right on the bank of the Rhine.

Food Nice, but as per many other hotels on the Rhein the waiters arent there to serve you but to complain - families have children, my daughter wanted potatoes instead of chips, 2 minutes whinging by the waiter and then ok if i paid for them which i did, not a smile whilst served, if you want to employ cheaper labour then ensure they are happy to be working for you. Wouldnt go there again. Been going to bk for 30 yrs very disappointing.

Our serviceteam is well-known in the town and villages around. People are usually really delighted by our service. The many good reviews are proof for that. Still, we are sorry if you didnt like it. Kind regards

This hotel is literally on the Rhine - perhaps even in the Rhine if it floods ! The hotel has begun a rolling programme of modernisation. All the downstairs room have been and as we arrived the glaziers were leaving after fitting new windows in the restaurant/breakfast room overlooking the Rhine. There is also a covered dining area outside. The menu is not vast but the food is plentiful, well cooked and presented. The non smoking rooms on the first floor all have balconies and overlook the Rhine. Working ships, pleasure craft and purpose built river cruise ships pass constantly 24 hours a day so there is some noise at night - hopefully the refurbished rooms have better sound proofing. Being close to water bugs can be a problem but can be avoided if the appropriate action is taken. The local outdoor swimming pool is less than 100m away. It is highly family orientated, but could not be heard from the balcony. Hotel is an ideal base to explore the Rhine either by car or rail.
