I found this holiday on Secret Escapes and was a Cosmo's Lake Garda Foodie Break. Hotel Continental was the selected hotel and we wasn't sure what to expect after wrongly searching for the wrong Hotel Continental in Garda, which was only a 3 star.
Couldn't fault the hotel - very clean, light, lovely staff, good food, competitive bar prices, quiet location. The latter caused us problems as we either had to aim for the 4pm shuttle and then remain at the hotel for the evening or walk back to...More
We were so happy with our stay. We phoned ahead and explained it was our honeymoon and changed our room to a kingsize instead of twin. They brought a complimentry bottle of fizz to our room. The food was lovely with wine included. Very clean...More
We stayed in this hotel August this year. The immediate feel in reception was a clean, spacious and well looked after hotel. Reception staff were very helpful. Our room was good with comfortable beds. General storage space was good and a well equipped bathroom. Our...More

Hello Sarah W.
We were in room 301 which has a balcony. It is sunlit in the afternoon. The balcony is OK for 2 people but would be a squeeze for 3. You would have a view of the stunning limestone cliffs but they're not staring you in the face. Room 301 is at the back so is quieter than the front overlooking the terrace which gets some afternoon sun. The choice is if you want somewhere slightly quieter. I have to add that the dawn chorus is beautiful with birdsong all day. Cheeky sparrows will land on your terrace table to pinch cake crumbs. It's an excellent hotel in every aspect with Signora Tonelli keeping a personal close eye on everything. One last thing the free wi-fi is far better than in hotels back over here, even around the outdoor pool. Enjoy your stay there.
There is a kettle in the room, although i always take my own. It is also possible to get a room with a balcony facing the sun. The indoor pool is lovely & there is an outdoor pool but it was too cold when we visited.
