We came to La Sonrisa for a special birthday trip for 5 nights in March. The hotel is very opulent and the grounds deserve a special mention when the fountains come on! Although a very quiet period in the year, we were very impressed with Danielo who looked out for us and advised us on places to visit. He introduced...

We loved this Hotel, the surroundings are very grand, with lots of beautiful original features. Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful, I felt like a princess in a fairy tale castle. Our room was adequate and included a balcony that over looked the mountains. There are much grander rooms available but we felt for what we had paid the facilities were...

My wife and I stayed at La Sonrisa for three nights and we enjoyed the experience. We were part of group of 16. The first appearance is bit over whelming given the area surrounding the hotel. Our group was quickly processed and we were soon on our way to our rooms. The room was clean and adequate. Breakfast and dinner...

We've just completed a five night stay at La Sonrisa. We had been looking forward to this experience since being introduced to the hotel a few months ago when shopping nearby. This place is exuberant in decor (inside and out), and the staff wonderful: Daniello and Rosaria were so welcoming on arrival and thereafter, the most endearing Carmella escorted us...

Amazing hotel, Awesome staff, that are always happy to help. Poor location, but the shuttle minibus the hotel provides is great and cheap too. It takes about 20 mins to get to the train station and costs about 2Euros to get a train to Sorrento.... Naples is the other way and costs about 5EUROS. slightly annoying that there were weddings...

Loved this hotel, with the Venetian styling and super friendly and helpful staff. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. While the rooms are suitably faux-ornate like the rest of the hotel, they could use some additional traveler-comforts like safes, additional power outlets, task lighting and newer mattresses. However, the common areas are what make this hotel so...

What a beautifully strange place. The hotel drips in gaudy glamour with pink glass chandeliers and superfluously ornate mock Venetian furniture. Our room was decked in dusky pink wallpaper, with a lavish bed underneath a tacky bright pink Jesus on the cross. The swimming pool has dolphin statues smiling amid gushings of mini fountains. And there is a waterfall lashing...

Our tour group nicknamed this "Disneyland". It is a gem in the middle of very ordinary homes and shops (However we were advised not to wander off the property at night). You gasp a little as you approach the well maintained and appointed grounds and hotel. When the "ah' wears off you notice the small shower, the lack of electrical...
