We met here for here for an early family Christmas meal. The food was very good, the staff very efficient and attentive and the ambience was very festive. A nice place to be. We had space, but the hotel was busy.

It has made me want to return though. Very friendly staff, good food at good prices. Lots of parking. Pretty Christmas decorations. Yes well worth another visit. Attention to how the food looked on the plate was good as well, not just served up any old how.

I had the privilege to stay few nights at the King's. The room was very cosy, all the essentials in. A tea/coffee spot well assorted with cookies! A large flat-screen tv with sky box all loads of channels in it. The bathroom was spotless, with the complimentary towels, shower gel and shampoo, bathmat, plenty of tissues, toilet paper and of...

Like another reviewer we stayed here for one night in October 2016 to attend a friend's wedding. The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was ok. The linen was clean and there was a decent supply of in-room tea. coffee etc but no mini-bar. That was not really a problem and there is a decent bar anyway which...

We ate at their restaurant ( Kings eating House) two evenings and it was obviously popular as they asked if we had a reservation, but still found a table for 2. I like that they had a choice of free newspapers. The staff were attentive, and we orderd the ham egg and chips. The ham was thick with almost no...

We booked in for a night for our friends wedding. We arrived at 1pm and as I had emailed earlier in the week to ask, we were given our key to freshen up before the wedding. Things started well, so we head up to our room and that's where the disappointments started. The room was tiny! The bathroom door was...

We live locally and have family in Stokenchurch so chose the Kings Eating House for my husband's 60th birthday. Admittedly we hadn't tried it before (our mistake) but were impressed by the attentiveness of the staff when we called in to look around, so decided it would be a good venue for our special family dinner. My husband's daughter and...

When we arrived 1 hr early I was told our room was not ready and check in was 3pm. Despite asking for early check in on reservation form the guy was a bit hostile to start. Then he discovered we were with the party/ function and advised we were on the first floor. We the discovered the Windows I the room...
