Went to The Royal for a pint with my sister and her dog... The Royal was happy to let dogs in which is good for walkers and locals alike. Decent selection of beers, too. Outside in summer is nice but inside in winter is cozy.

The clock chiming may disturb light sleepers only. Many residents have commented to us that they didn't hear a thing. The rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter and may be a better option for you if you are considering booking with us. Best wishes, Lisa
