Lussan is beautiful and so is the Mas. The apartment we stayed in (Le Grenier) was very nice, as was the single room that Nana stayed in. Tim and Pippa have 3 lovely dogs that our children greatly enjoyed playing with. However it has lost its edge and did not live up the extremely high standards we had expected from...

We are coming to the end of two very relaxing weeks at this Mas. After a long drive down it was easy to find and you can pretty much immediately start to relax into your holiday with Tim and Pippa in the background as hosts and owners to guide you to the best places around to visit. Each morning they...

This was the second stay for our family at Mas de la Bousquette... the first being seven years ago. The kids are a little older now, but they had fond memories from our last trip, so we wanted to relive the experience. Over the course of our two week stay, we had a few great evenings with Tim, Pippa and...

The best thing about the Mas is its web site! It sounds idyllic and welcoming, and clearly many who have gone there before us found it so. Perhaps we were unlucky, but it did not meet our expectations. We were two couples and we were accommodated in the Grenier, the two bedroom gite. On the web site the bedrooms in...

We have many guests and just very occasionally you get some who are just the pits. These people stayed in the Grenier and complained from day one. Mostly nonsense such as pompous and inaccurate identification of flies, but they just were that kind of people.. Their son in law, a real australian rather than scottish imports, came to us and...

We have spent a week at this self catering place and have enjoyed ever minute of it. Tim and Pippa our hosts really made us feel welcome whilst always being there to help us with anything we needed. The place is really comfortable with a very nice pool area and lovely gardens. Ideal if you want to visit places like...

From the minute you arrive you feel the magic of Mas de la Bousquette. Having fresh bread and eggs (from the resident chickens) being delivered outside of your door every morning in little baskets was just one of them many special things that made this a very special place to stay

We have never enjoyed a vacation as much as we did our visit to Mas de la Bousquette. Our accomodation in the Le Murier gite was spacious and well furnished with all the modern conveniences and an especially comfortable bed. The location is a beautiful less-travelled part of France, yet close to the interesting market town of Uzes, Nimes and...

My wife and I just spent a very enjoyable week at Mas de la Bousquette. Located below the small hilltop village of Lussan and only a short drive from the beautiful historic town of Uzes, Mas de la Bousquette is a beautiful country refuge. From the moment you arrive at Mas de la Bousquette and are greeted by Pippa and Tim with warm flannels and an ice cold lemon drink you are made to feel very special. Then there are further surprises with a fresh bowl of cherries and a bottle of the delicious local red wine from Uzes when you enter your room....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our ancient mas rests at the foot of Huguenot hilltop village Lussan, close to medieval Uzes in the Gard Provencal. Our two gites are a perfect retreat packed with charm and beautifully and completely equipped; you will want for nothing. This is lovely, unspoiled countryside with pure air and golden sun. With our ancient house, lovely grounds, heated pool and warm welcome we assure you of a relaxing and memorable stay. Our larger gite, Le Grenier, has two double bedrooms both with bathrooms, a spacious and comfortable living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a mezzanine with an extra sofa bed. The gite has lovely views over the pool and the courtyard. It can sleep 6. Our smaller gite Le Murier has one lovely bedroom in the ancient silk works. It has an antique brass bed and an en suite double bathroom. The living room is large and comfortable with a sofa bed and there is a fully equipped kitchen. It can sleep 4 but is a perfect romantic retreat for 2. We also have a 'chambre d'hote' (B&B) room which can be taken on its own for a minimum of 3 days or with either gite for extra space. Our gites are equipped to the highest standards. Beds are top quality; towels, bathrobes etc are provided along with top range toiletries. The kitchens have everything you might need. Our prices are completely inclusive. The Gites are comprehensively equipped: all linen, 'starter' pack, books, games etc and a very special 4 course dinner with us and other guests on your first evening. Outside there are 7 acres of lovely grounds with fish ponds, meadows, orchard, gardens and a large, safely enclosed heated pool. Our grounds are safe and parents are always happy to let their children loose in our meadow perhaps with our 2 dogs. Alternatively, they can help us feed and collect eggs from our flock of rare breed hens. This is a place to relax and feel free. No pressures, just plenty of peace and calm. No TVs, just books and games and toys for our younger guests. We are in a lovely area with easy access to some fabulous cites: Nimes, Avignon, Montpelier, Aix, Arles are all an easy drive. Uzes, our local town is a renowned unspoiled medieval delight with spectacular markets twice a week. The countryside is fabulous; we are at the foothills of the Cevennes and Ardeche mountains and our roads and tracks are perfect for hiking or cycling. We offer free loan of bikes to our guests. There are 3 rivers nearby with wonderful canoeing between Easter and October. A canoe trip under the Pont du Gard is a must!
