We're frequent visitors of MITC Hotel whenever we visit our relatives in Malacca.
Unfortunately, this trip was unpleasant for our family. Upon checking in (the receptionist and staff are always very nice!), we were given rooms on Level 7. When we opened the door, the room had such a musty smell that I almost gagged. It lacked ventilation and smelled like no one had stayed there before us. We were missing toothbrushes, toothpaste, and even the room phone. Additionally, we could feel the springs of the mattress whenever we lay down.
My parents experienced the same musty smell in their room. Their TV had little to no signal, causing the channel to keep cutting off.
Thankfully, it was only a 2D1N stay, but I hope the issues mentioned above can be reviewed and addressed.

Room Tip:Worth it if you need to attend conference near it and ONLY for a short stay like 2D1N kind of thing.

Cons: limited parking lot, small room, limited wardrobe space, ironing at corridor.
Plus: near to amenities and Ayer Keroh attractions. Ample open air parking across the road. Cosy, reasonably clean.
They observe social distancing practices.

I chose this hotel because of the location near to most tourist attractions in Ayer Keroh.
I paid RM293.50 x2 Deluxe Room since I asked for a connecting door room for my teen. Room has 1 queen bed 1 single bed but it was too small a deluxe type of room. Perhaps 3 feets walking area between beds & wall. Basic amenities.
But my worst nigtmare, there was NO IRON inside the room. Claimed to be a 4 star rated hotel but no iron? We’re in 2022 & there’s still hotel doesn’t provide in room ironing set. The hotel has placed a shared iron at the far end of the corridor to be shared amongst all rooms on the floor. And there was NO hook or cloth rack to put our cloth during ironing session. I’ve to hang my blouse at the exit door knob. Just imagine guests at the opposite ends meee to go out just to use the iron. And the hotel took advantage by offering an ironing service for those guests that they called “lazy” to iron. Yes, I would opt for this option since they didn’t provide iron inside the room & I don’t trust the shared iron not to burn my silk & satin blouses & scarves. So I called 0 to request for ironing service and the staff told me they had no staff to do it 👎🏻 please bear in mind I went there during weekends and they should expect more guests during this time.
Breakfast on the next day also worst. Breakfast time is from 7am-10am. My family came down around 8:45am, still early in my opinion. But there was no cereal bowl left on the counter. No plate left on the main menu counter. Staff didn’t check or topup all those crockery. Breakfast spread was okay. Nothing much to expect. 2 types of Cereals, breads, omelette, mee soup, nasi lemak, fried noodle, salads & porridge. Baked bean & chicken slice was gone and wasn’t refill.
Tbh, I will avoid this hotel in future.

Decoration is nice and simple. The room design are just met basic amenities. Neat and look clean maybe because of still newly refurbished. Toilet is not properly wash, still got leftover from previous guest during my check in. Spoon also dirty with food stains.
Room a bit small but just ok with the rate. Booked a family room but this hotel is more to business travellers. Not suitable for family because of the limited space. Unless you just wanted a place to sleep.
A bit disappointed because of no fridge in the room and I cannot store my ebm. But luckily 7Eleven just 1.4km from this hotel so i can buy my own ice cubes.
The loby is nice. The food is ok. I enjoyed the night performance at the cafe. The swimming pool is ok based on my kid words.

Stayed 3D2N bellboys and bembam restaurant staff were friendly and helpful but not the reception staff should practise welcoming their guest.
Booked connecting rooms 625 n 626 city view suitable for 2 adults 3 kids under 12.
Rooms are clean but toilet need more cleaning improvement.
Kids swimming pool with slides is the thumbs up but adult pool quite small.
Bft bfast was ok.. the room service meals was so DELICIOUS but a bit pricey.
Overall location is good not so crowded, nearby mosque, restaurants, speedmart, tennis courts and other attractions.
Would be nice if the hotel provide mini gym with threadmills and will consider to come here again.

I spent a night here after my talk in a nearby hospital. It is located at the business area of Ayer Keroh, which on the contrary, is not very busy. As it is one of the tallest building around, finding the hotel is not difficult. As the title suggest, it is a basic no frills hotel. The lobby is small and well lit. The room is clean and functional. It was well worth for the price. The issue is since it is fairly cheap, the hotel seems to be choice of the rowdy Mainland Chinese tourists. The breakfast was where they displayed their disorderliness.

It is my first time to stay here and well locate to the state government administration. Overall, it is good hotel. The food and the room are ok for me. Only one thing, the sound proof of this hotel is quite bad for me. I can hear people talking and footsteps noises from upstairs and hallway. It good for the hotel to provide an iron rather than put them at the corner of every floor
