For around RM200 per night (varies with season), we stayed in a 3-bedroom flat within a cluster of high rises atop a hill in Ayer Keroh. Best view is Block A and B overlooking the city and the straits beyond.
The flat that we stayed is fairly basic and not done up to the level of quality befitting even a 2-star setting. All furniture are of the self-assembly type, “kitchen” has no cabinet in fact the aluminium sink that comes with the new built developer gave is not replaced.
Bathrooms are fairly small and basic with instantaneous water heater. The lounge has no air conditioning, only fan.
Upsides: good view, windy, affordable.
Downsides: basic, no decor, amenities like iron has to be requested from reception. Need to drive to get to shops and restaurants.
Upsides: affordable, quiet, good view, windy if you enjoy natural breeze.

Booked an apartment which comes with 3bdrms (all rooms comes with Queen size bed), light cooking is available, 'Convenient Shop' (7-11) is available. Do note a Damage deposit fees of RM100 (refundable) for 2 nites is chargeable upon check-in. Property is Gated and Guarded.
Pros: NEARBY ATTRACTIONS EG. ZOO, MELAKA WONDERLAND THEME PARK, MYDIN MALL
