Arrived here very sick from some dodgy food at another island and staff took one look at me and put me straight into private room even though I had paid for a dorm. Staff are so friendly and could not have done enough for me! They brought me all my meals in bed as I was very sick. Nicest people...

Staying in Wayalailai is a must do experience when hopping around the Yasawas. Staff were excellent to my girlfriend who was feeling unwell on our arrival. Really great experience, ate some traditional food they cooked in an underground bbq took part in a Kava ceremony. I seen a few of these ceremonies but this was the first real one wear...

We had no running water while we were there which was frustrating at times. No internet but it was nice to disconnect from the world. Very chilled and spent most of my time in a hammock. Sunset walk is a MUST with a great tour guide Matthew. We also did the sunrise tour with him which was also pretty beautiful....

This was the second to last stop on our 7 day trip to Fiji. These guys couldn't have been more friendly, completely village run, Waya Lailai is a lovely spot. Sarah allocated us the Bures as another group wanted the dorms. The night's entertainment was fun, and included a song from the staff which our students replied to with our...

I fell in love with the environment, the white sandy beach, the people. It was a great experience to stay here. You can do whatever you like, whether just sunbathing, swimming, hiking, resting in a hammock or even sleep all day nobody's gonna bother you. Very peaceful. What was interesting was the dinner, where the guests were called and gathered...

I stayed in Bure 2 for 4 nights. Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation. Food was plentiful and delicious. If you can bring bottled water from the mainland as it can be quite expensive to buy it on the islands. Beautiful beach and views, the sunrise walk to the summit was worth it. Lots of activities available, but you also have...

Oh, what a missed opportunity. This place is the only village-owned and village-run resort in the Yasawas. This is itself is a great drive for people like us to choose it over foreign-owned resorts, but unfortunately it doesn't deliver on the expectations (and on the hefty bill). The staff looks quite disengaged and not really interested in having tourists there....

This was my first experience of island life, and I really liked it here. Staff sing to you on arrival/departure and at mealtimes, and are all super friendly. Facilities were basic, but all you need. Dorm was huge, with no mosquito nets, and visitors like rats and giant spiders and moths were frequent :-O Bathrooms were so old and rundown,...

We had the best time staying at Waya Lailai Resort! We loved it so much that after staying 2 nights in another resort on another island (which was very fancy) we decided to cancel the rest of our bookings in other places to come back to Waya Lailai Resort and finish our trip there! We spent 10 nights there! If...

Stayed at wayalailai for 2 nights and it was my first island stop. Positives: - beautiful location looking out on to the sea and although so windy when we were there we couldn't lie on the sand. - sunset hike was breath taking, although not sure why we payed $20 for it, since not much guidance shown. - food compared...
