The owners Robert (El Caballo) and his wife Marta were super gracious hosts. The servers and kitchen were friendly and accommodating to my food requests. The hotel and resort areas were cleaned daily. Overall, I would highly recommend staying with this local family especially if you like to surf.

My friend Claudia and I just got back from staying at this place. The owner, his family and his staff were all amazing to us. The views of the ocean are breathtaking. The hotel has 2 pools and a lovely restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and plentiful. We wanted to be in a safe, relax and friendly hotel and it is exactely what we got. Everything around it is gorgeous. Easy and inexpensive access to town and other cool places to visit like El Tunco. We have enjoyed going to local markets and meeting the locals. Highly recommend it.

By far one of my favorite places to relax and enjoy the day after a surf. Go, you won't regret it. Punta Roca Surf Resort has the best food and staff around. Plus a shuttle to the point or rippers out front. Thanks Bob!

Cocal Room is like a home, 4 beds, TV, amazing air conditioning system and 5 steps to the shore. You can surf right in front the Resort or reach Punta Roca international point break in a few minutes by car. Safe place, nice pools, and cozy decoration and furniture to just hang out after surf sessions. Don Roberto , the owner, is a legend, and will make you really feel at home. Nice and gentle staff!

Small quiet little spot to chill and surf. Punta Roca is a local treasure so respect the locals and pick your waves carefully. Rooms are basic but thats reflected in the price. Food is pretty good but restaurant shuts down early and it gets real quiet. El Tunco is a short drive away for you can get the night life action there.

What I like most about this hotel is the people, the employees care, people are excellent here. Food is awesome!!! Everything I requested they did for me, and I did don't have to remind them, in my opinion people make all the difference in a hotel, and this hotel gets it!!! I will be coming back every time I come to El Salvador ...

If you are looking for a quiet restful getaway during the week this is the place. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This was my second trip to the Punta Roca Surf Resort and will be back again. Hot coffee each morning overlooking the ocean followed by the most amazing banana pancakes...2 thumbs up!

Popular with Salvadorans especially those visiting for the day. Its a basic place. Room had (noisy) aircon. Staff are pleasant. Restaurant shuts early and nothing to do in the evenings really, El Tunco has more bustle. Beach had good waves but was pebbly and dirty. Roberto is helpful. It was a tad run down, without being bad. For example the doors were damaged, the paintwork was grubby. The bar was often closed. Come here if you want to surf, but don't want the scene.

The property is very nice, the food is delicious and the owner is very friendly. We enjoyed our time in the pool everyday. The staff was very slow, orders had been forgotten, we pretty much had to go up to the front counter to order our food everytime as they would all just walk passed our table and ignore us. This was really irritating. They should mention somewhere that the restaurant closes quite early, it is very boring at night, nothing to do on site, can't even buy a drink! I would recommend this if you want to relax in your room at night and do nothing else.

I can't say enough good things about Punta Roca Surf Resort...from the owners, Roberto and his wife, Marta, to their amazing guides they provide. The wait staff literally waits on you hand and foot...they remembered us from last year and would even remember our food and drink orders. They work so hard! If you're going for a 5 star hotel...this isn't it...the rooms are what you might expect in Central America...but you're rarely in there... they are clean though! Easy access to the beach...and a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset each day! Highly recommend staying here...the service and price cant be beat!
