Had lunch here outside. Kids didn't like their food. I tasted it and I had to agree with them it was terrible.A burger here nearly cost as much as a fillet steak elsewhere. Must be paying for the view. Very very disappointing.I won't eat here again.

We had a beautiful family room over looking the sea, with a view of Hook Head and the relaxing sound of the sea. Many thanks to Catherine and all the staff at The Strand who made our stay memorable. We will be back.

We stayed in the Strand in July and arrived late on a glorious Sunday afternoon. The bar and outside area was teeming and there were no parking spaces anywhere near the hotel so we had to drag our bags some distance. When we then checked in the lovely and helpful receptionist advised that as residents we could park at a... More

Easily the best food in Ireland and its location can't be replicated. The atmosphere this place has is truly excellent and the service from the staff is faultless. If you want to experience Ireland at its best, forget the usual hotel chains and try visit this place. If you don't stay over, at the very least drop by for a... More

This is a great spot for a weekend away. We had two rooms overlooking the sea which were both small but bright and airy and very close to the sea. The bathroom in one room was extremely small but this wasn't a big issue for us. The breakfast was delicious. Fruit, cereals and juices were self service and options from... More

Stayed here for one night in August, should have stayed longer. Parking on site. Bar, restaurants, on the sea front. Great rooms. Bright. Clean, airy. Fabulous scenery. Good breakfast. Lots of stairs to climb if you are on top floor! Lacking plug sockets in our attic room but we managed. Will definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay in the Strand. Quirky little place, right on the beach with great views. Staff work hard but make it look effortless. Manager very nice man and attentive to clientele. Good food and good bar music. Will definitely return. Thank you.

We go to Dunmore East every few years and always stay here. The location is perfect right on the beach and the restaurant is very good. It is a relaxed place with friendly staff. The decor could do with an update but it is clean and bright with many rooms having a lovely sea view. We love it.

Stayed here a twice and I absolutely love it.. The food in the bar is always on point, really scrumptious & reasonably priced. The rooms are very basic a tad obscure but extremely comfortable. Both times I stayed in this hotel I let the curtains open to see the sun rise over the sea & illuminate my room, so beautiful!... More

On Friday last my friend ando I ordered 2 glasses of house Rose wine at lunchtime during the annual bluegrass festival, when we went to pay our bill we were charged €17 for 2 very small glasses of wine. Very disappointed with this, it was only house wine, on further questioning as to how much a bottle would cost, we... More
