Popped in for a drink while exploring the town, couldn't fault the place friendly staff, decent food and some good ales on tap. Log burning fire keeping the bar area warm, just what you need after a walk in the cold.

Used to eat at this pub regularly but regrettably found that the overall eating experience has declined recently presumably due to new management. Whilst the food was quite nice albeit with smaller portions, gone is the "nothing is too much trouble" attitude and seemingly replaced by one of "take it or leave it". We used to enjoy the little things... More

We've been here for food during the wk & had the burger & pint deal for £10, great food & cheap, they also do a steak deal for two with a bottle of wine on a Friday & Saturday night again great deal & good food. Definitely good place for food & just drinks, there's a pool table & also... More

As I live locally to this pub I cannot comment on the rooms, But I have eaten in this pub on several times, The food is cooked to order so you may have a little wait, this is well worth it as the quality of the meals ai exemplary and well priced.

We booked two rooms whilst walking the Avon Valley Trail. Staff were unfailingly pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were adequate (the double is a bit small but the twin is fine) and on a really hot night it was hard to keep cool (though fans were provided), but everything was clean and welcoming. Rooms were en suite, had tea and... More

Went for dinner on last evening of your holiday. As we were early and it was during the week, we were on our own in the dinging room the only customers were locals at the bar. Very nice food cooked to order and big portions, make sure you are hungry when you go. It is a very old building, so... More

We had been camping for 5 night in Dorset with friends who had stayed here two years ago and booked us a room, Fordingbridge is a lovely little riverside village, the room was ok, a little noicey in the morning with traffic out side (it was a hot Monday night and we had opened the window) staff very friendly and... We turned up because another local hostelry went all Basil Fawlty on us. Food was superb and available until 5pm on a Sunday. Staff friendly and engaging as were the locals. Decided to stay the night and found a double was available. Basic but more than adequate en suite with breakfast included, for the money it was value ++++. Breakfast... More

They have a few rooms... Step away-y-y from the rooms. Basic, dowdy, worn, grim - pick an adjective. My picture is of ceiling above bed, case made I think. And just too tiny for the doubles they have made them (bathroom room opened 14" before hitting bed). We were there because we arrived late, and had found nothing else available.... More
