Not only will you find all you need but all you would possibly WANT from a trip to a relaxing scenery like Colca Canyon. The staff is really friendly and attentive to one's needs, plus they are quite passionate about astronomy and thus will happily guide you through the spectacular starred skies on most nights (as allowed by the weather).... We enjoyed our stay at the Tradition Colca. Our room was bright and comfortable. We had easy access to Condor's Cross and to explore Yanque and the Colca Canyon. Thomas was very helpful arranging things for us. They even let us see the stars from their observatory.

Tradicion Colca is a french managed hotel with a number of nice features. Apart from the old fashioned rooms with some renovation requirements, it has a restaurant with good and reasonably priced food, a jacuzzi and a sauna (we did not use it, thus we cannot really judge),and a planetarium with an observatorium. We got an explanation in clear nights... More

We (mom and teenage daughter) stayed at Tradicion Colca for 2 nights after our exhausting and exhilarating 3 day trek in Colca Canyon. It turned out the best choice we could have made. In 2 days at Tradicion Colca we were completely recuperated. We did horseback riding, an easy 3 hour hike to Uyo Uyo ruins, stargazed in the planetarium... More

During our trip in Peru, we discovered the Colca Valley and we stayed in Tradicion Colca. Our stay was perfect ! What unforgettable place ! The rooms are clean, confortable, beautiful and spacious. In the peaceful garden, you can rest, read or drink something. Emmanuel, the owner, and his team are very friendly and efficient. In the restaurant, the peruvian... More

We really enjoyed our staying in this hotel. Our room was large, clean, comfortable, the shower was very good, everything you could need was provided. In the evening it was very relaxing to visit the jacuzzi. The breakfast was nice and the restaurant was very good though not cheap, but you may enjoy tasty dishes seating near the fireplace, that... Everything was great : big, confortable and spotless room, nice facilities (good restaurant, you also can enjoy a spa, massages or astronomy sessions). Emmanuel, the owner, and his employees, are welcoming and care for your well beeing during your stay. They can arrange excursions in the surroundings. The natural environment of Yanque is amazing. A great experience !

We stayed at Tradición Colca before visiting the Canyon, it was a very relaxing stop, impeccable rooms, very relaxing at night, with a surprisingly interesting short lecture on astronomy (the sky there is so clear, you can see hundreds of stars!) by the owner, Emmanuel, who points at the brightest ones with a laser beam. There are many amenities such... More

Tradicion Colca is an awesome place to stay in Yanque (and one must really stay in Yanque when visiting the canyon if you want to experience Peru). The hospitality was amazing (free guided hike, whirlpool and observatory). The room was great as well. AND I happened to loose my wallet in the room. Although I was already back in the... More

We stayed here as part of a tour from Lima to Arequipa. On arrival, we were taken on a hike of the Oyu Oyu ruins and the local hot springs. Although we have limited Spanish, our very patient guide gave us explanations along the road and waited while we enjoyed the local hot springs. Once we got back, we got... More

Dear B and D, Thank you very much for these so kind words! It is a great satisfaction to us, to know that all our efforts to please you had success. It is true that our local guides for the little trek to Uyo-Uyo ruins mostly only speak spanish, as we try to make local people participating in our activities,... More
