Stayed here on a business trip to Tokyo. I have come to appreciate the simpleness of hotels in Japan. Addition by subtraction allows the focus to be on cleanliness and comfort. These are the two components that contribute to a great stay. KKR excels in this area.

The hotel is located near the northern part of Tokyo Imperial Palace, which can be evaluated as one of the most beautiful city parks in the world. I spent here five wonderful nights in a clean and cosy room in the second half of September during my participation in scientific conference. It was my pleasant time to have a very...

This hotel is in a great location, right next to the imperial palace and its garden. I used this hotel as a base from which I could explore the city of Tokyo. And I found it to be ideally suited for this task. It is right next to an exit to the Takebashi subway station, through which the Tozai-line runs....

I stayed at KKR for 3 nights in August, the location of the hotel is excellent (Exit 3B at Takebashi metro station takes you straight to the hotel entrance). I stayed here for six days while attending a workshop near Tokyo station. This Japanese run hotel is of good standard. The view over the park from the dining floor is exceptional. The location is great for shopping near the station area but also for running around the park. There is a metro station at the hotel entrance.

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
