We stayed at the hotel March 27-31, as part of a package tour in Japan--we went for the Cherry Blossoms tour. Here's my review of the resort: Reservations/Inquiry: Since we availed of a package tour, the booking and reservations were handled by the agency/tour operator, so there isn't much I can review about the process on reservations and inquiry. There...

Ive stayed here twice now, and its a very convenient place to base yourself during a visit to Tokyo. The local area has plenty of bars and restaurants offering Japanese and western food/drinks. It's a reasonably quiet area, but you're not too far away from the action. The Imperial Palace is a 15 minute walk away, and Shinjuku, Shibuya and...

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always found it an excellent base of operations. The neighbourhood is great with lots of options for dining near the hotel. When in Japan I travel outside of Tokyo and always feel when coming back to the Grand Palace that I am coming home. The staff go out of their...

Stayed here for 6 nights and found the room adequate and quiet. All TV channels were in Japanese. Everything's a bit old but it grows on you. Service is reasonable and breakfast selection is quite OK. Quite average.

Stayed 4 nights in October 2012. Had first two nights on my own, then joined a JTB "Sunrise Tour" with pickup at the door. Airport limo from Narita also stops here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenience store across the street, Kudanshita Station 2 minutes walk away, and out the door and to the left there is a nice shopping...

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel and the hotel is running down. It is a 4 star hotel but lack of maintenance but in general the rooms are very clean. Buffet breakfast is not very good for a 4 star standard. There are not many choices. The hotel staffs are friendly. A plus for this hotel...

The hotel is 40 years old. It looks nice from the outside but the room is a little bit old school. The size of the room is quite OK compared to Japan's standard. The room is clean as always in Japan. It also have basic equipment, water boiler, hair dryer, flat TV.... But don't expect some new and high tech...

We walked to the hotel from the local subway and got very very wet in the rain. However, the minute we arrived, the doorman and 2 other staff came straight over to us with dry towels, hot tea and were very helpful. The rooms were more than adequate and quite spacious by Japanese standards. From the moment we arrived we...

The hotel is located at the nearby north side of the Imperial Palace. We can go to Nippon Budoukan, Yasukuni shrine, and Kanda by 10 minutes walk. The hotel staff is kind, service is good. I stayed alone in two bed room on the 20th floor overnight. The room is wide and comfortable with good view. Bath room is clean...

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
