Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this Mitsui Garden location during the first four days of a two-week trip to Japan. It was an amazing start to our trip, as this hotel is so clean, well-staffed and gorgeously decorated (it also smells fantastic – some kind of essential oil is used to ensure the lobby smells nice). We were on our honeymoon, and we were greeted with a small teddy bear and note from the staff in our room, congratulating us. All staff were so helpful and pleasant, and the hotel felt very luxurious in its decor and style. The room was small (as most are in Tokyo), but it felt cosy to us and we didn't mind it as a couple. We liked having the separate shower and toilet rooms, as it made getting ready a bit easier. Our room also had plenty of amenities included, such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, bottled water, etc. The location is also great, within walking distance to Tokyo Station and JR/Tokyo Metro lines, and well-suited for walking to Akihabara/Asakusa areas, if you're up to it. We would recommend Mitsui Garden hotels to anyone visiting Japan.

Room type: Ordinary double bed room (basic room type)
I booked a room through Booking, and then received an automatic email saying that I could check in in advance on the official website, but after trying it, it said that my registered name was wrong. There was a bit of misunderstanding in communication with the hotel afterwards, but luckily we were able to confirm the booking information in the end.
This is my third time staying at a Mitsui Group hotel. I chose it again because of the overall good experience and my confidence in the cleanliness. This time the receptionist was also very courteous, and the room was exquisite and well-equipped with basic facilities. The bath supplies were from Mikimoto, but please note that the window is close to the building next to it and the curtains must be closed all day long. The room is small but big enough to open a large suitcase. If two people stay, the room may be cramped.
Since the hotel adopts a black color scheme, the dust, scratches and water stains in the room are more obvious, and I found a plastic bottle cap under the sofa...other than that, the room is overall tidy, but there is still room for improvement.
Although the bathhouse is not big, there were only a few or even no one there every night when I went there at 8 or 9pm. The water in the bathhouse was much cleaner than that of the Dormy Inn Premium where I stayed before, and the beds were not seen in other hotels of the same level. They were very comfortable. The only drawback is that the water temperature can be a little higher.
The buffet breakfast provided by Asada is quite good. Most of the dishes are Japanese. The portions are exquisite and you can try many kinds of dishes at one time. Unfortunately, after staying for four days, the dishes are the same and the price is too expensive. In addition, Japanese food is better than Western food.
Finally, there is the location. The official website does not explain it very clearly. In fact, the hotel exit is at Exit 1 of Shin-Nihonbashi Station, between Metro Mitsukoshi-mae Station and JR Shin-Nihonbashi Station. If you get off at Mitsukoshi-mae, you can go to Gate A10. After exiting the gate, just walk along the white passage leading to Shin-Nihonbashi Station (not toward Exit A10). There is an escalator from Exit 1 to the 1F of the hotel but there is no elevator. If you need to use the elevator, you can walk from the underground passage to Muromachi Phases 1 to 3 on the opposite side, so it is convenient when it rains.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the hotel's hardware and software. Unfortunately for tourists, it is not difficult to find alternative accommodation in Ginza and Shinjuku at this price, and the shopping, transportation and living functions are also better. I feel that this hotel is more suitable for business customers.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Nihonbashi Premier is one of the best hotels we stayed in while in Japan. We were impressed by the beautiful lobby, the stylish furniture of the room, the perfect mattresses, the design of the bathroom, the exceptional shower, and the view from the room. And everything was clean and well-functioning!
The check-in procedures were easy and rapid, and the staff at the reception was very friendly and efficient.
We also appreciated the proximity with the Tokyo station.
Thank you.

I had booked four rooms for my team and requested for early check in but when I reached hotel , early check in was refused . I offered to pay for the early check in and they demanded two and a half times the normal room rent . I came at around 11 30 AM with my team and for only two three hours early check in , I had to pay for two rooms around 53000 yen . This amount is almost three times the tariff available on any of Hotel booking websites . I had no option but to take two rooms on exorbitant tariffs . Very bad experience .

Wonderful Hotel. The staff were really helpful and polite and communicated well even though they advertise as Japanese spoken only. The rooms were smaller than typical international hotels but evert inch of space is used to provide the full amenities. The Hotel is ideally situated as its close to the rail system and restaurants and a handy 711.I would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Stayed three nights here on a business trip and the room was clean and spacious (by Japan standards). Staff were courteous and helpful and the location was very convenient - directly connected to a metro station and had a lot of food options in the neighbourhood. The public bath was a welcome after a long day out having meetings. Only downside - there was no proper desk in the room so it was difficult to do work, but if you are not in Tokyo for business, it should not be an issue.

We are very happy to hear that you were generally satisfied with your stay at our hotel. Our hotel is directly connected to Shin-Nihonbashi Station on the JR Line and Mitsukoshimae Station on the Ginza Line via an underground passageway, so you will not get wet even on rainy days. We are very sorry that we could not meet your expectations regarding the desk in the room. Beautiful hotel and great friendly staff. This hotel has a restaurant and a bar. It is in a very convenient location a short walk from Tokyo station. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms are fully equipped with every amenity you might need including iron and ironing board and the most comfortable beds. It also has an onsen which is welcome after a long day exploring.

The hotel is in the business district of Nihonbashi, v close to Mitsukoshimae station on the Ginza line, which is handy for other connections on Tokyo's vast subway system. Staff at the hotel are friendly and efficient, but let down by their lack of language skils. Unless you're travelling alone, do not take the 'moderate' rooms which are very small. Pay a little more for a larger room. The rooms are dark and gloomy, largely due to the horrible dark carpet (which looks dirty) and the aubergine coloured walls. The shower is good and strong, and the toilet v efficient. The Japanese buffet breakfast which looks pretty, is only good for a short stay. I was dying for a more varied breakfast after three days (I stayed for ten nights). I would only recommend this hotel for short stays and solo trips!

We stayed in this hotel for eight nights. It is very conveniently located in terms of transport, with a metro station and an important train line directly underneath the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are rather small for the price category, but very well furnished and maintained. The cleanliness is very good. We particularly enjoyed the hotel's own onsen bath on the ninth floor. Actually a clear case for a rating of "very good". Our rating of "satisfactory" is due to the room we were first assigned.
This was probably the one with the worst location in the entire hotel, with an ugly view of backyards, air conditioning, etc. It was also extremely small. As guests with a long stay, we felt really badly treated. We intervened and were able to move into another room (unfortunately only) after four nights, which we were happy with.

I stayed at the Mitsui Garden Nihombashi for 3 nights in February while on a business trip to Tokyo. The staff are all wonderfully polite and helpful, and the hotel is very clean and has a nice bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, my room had no desk to work from, and the TV programming had only one channel in English. Would recommend a global vote brand in lieu of this hotel.
