This is a great hotel for business travel. Rooms are spacious, the views fantastic and the amenities generous, like a Nespresso machine, bathroom kit, lots of plug sockets and so on. Great access to anywhere from the train and metro station. Comfortable beds. Only minus point: you might hear the trains a bit from your room.

The hotel was ok for a five stars hotel. Breakfast was not as expected for this chain of hotels and rating. However the location was perfect as it was near the station which made it very easy to reach all locations.

We have just returned from our honeymoon to Japan, which we started with 5 nights at this hotel. We arrived in from Haneda airport around 1pm, having been traveling from Ireland for 20+ hours we arrived jet-lagged and very tired (slept 2 hours) hoping to check in at this time. We were given some refreshing hot towels and our details...

Good rooms, good food and close to great bars and rail station. The Glass Dance nearby is a fantastic place for after hours drinks! If that is busy, try the Guiness bar a bit further along. Look forward to coming back.

InterContinental hotels have become my first choice during my frequent travels. The Springs by InterContinental was excellent in every respect. I was totally satisfied during my eight-day leisure trip stay. Two points of particular interest to me: The location, a few steps from Shinagawa Station, a major transportation hub, along a raised and covered walkway, was about as convenient as...

This is the third time I used this hotel for very simple reasons: 1. It is situated right beside Shinagawa Station with easy access to practicall all the local and Shinkansen Lines similar to Tokyo station; 2. The room is relatively priced modest as compared to hotels near Tokyo Station; 3. Shinagawa is the best location for Tokyo Tourist with...

I have stayed at this property several times. The service is excellent and the rooms are comfortable and functional. I love the large shower/bath in the bathroom, with a good, forceful stream of water. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The rooms are very quiet and it is easy to fall asleep. I also like the buffet breakfast which...

The Strings is a beautiful high-rise hotel with understated elegance, a superb location near the Shinagawa Station, and service so expert that you don't even have to ask for anything. The views from our window were Mt. Fuji during the day and the colorful Tower at night. The linens, the beds, the bath, and the subtle use of neutral colors...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
