I always feel fortunate to be able to stay at the New Sanno when I go into Tokyo. When I am tired and need a simple but elegant meal, I enjoy the excellent Japanese cuisine at the onsite Japanese Restaurant.

Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were
famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants,
bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of
Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the

to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art

Hi Everybody, We are spending the first six nights of May at the new Sanno. I am a little confused about the tipping situation. I know Japan is a no-tipping country, but does this apply to the New Sanno as well (since it is American owned and operated)? TIA for any help you can give me, Vic
