We booked last minute when an Airbnb booking fell through and I'm so glad we decided to stay at this hotel! The location is incredible - only a short walk away from the amazing shopping, food, and scramble crossing in Shibuya. And less than 10 minutes walk from the JR station. The room was quiet, beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was big in comparison to many of the other places we stayed in Japan. Staff were very attentive and lovely. I would definitely stay here again!

This was our first hotel in Japan and it was the best we experienced along our travels!

The location is spot on- walking distance to get to the JR and the subway so your journeys are limitless!

We stayed in the superior double which is worth the extra cost with a larger space! The decor was beautiful with lovely curtains that could be draped around the bed- very snuggly!

The room, like most places in Japan, was incredibly clean and tidy with a fantastic shower with so many different functions to enjoy and relax to!

As mentioned, there are small pastries, coffee, juice available for breakfast which is the perfect early morning snack as breakfast was a challenge for us westerners!

Overall, it was the perfect relaxing rest from the busy Tokyo outside- a very quiet, peaceful space.
Worth every penny and would definitely return back- across the road was a brilliant 500 yen bar too!

First advice: The small price difference to get the bigger modern double superior is worth every penny. The extra 30-40 sq ft. allowed my partner and I to keep two large suitcases open in the room and still have room to walk in the room, and not feel cramped (well, as not cramped as you can get in Tokyo while staying on budget).

Bathroom is on the smaller side but very clean and functional. Blinds and curtains can be pulled down for privacy when needed. Water pressure and hot water very good in the shower. The bed is Simmons, it was comfortable for western travelers compared to other Japanese hotel chains that tend to favor firmer beds. TV has some English channels. Two water bottles in the fridge are free every day, hot water kettle, tea are provided.

Free breakfast available to guests. Yes, it's basic with just a few different kinds of pastries, coffee, juice, milk, soup. But it's free so I ain't complaining even if it's the same food everyday. Finding breakfast in Tokyo is not as easy as you think, so this was perfect little breakfast before morning sightseeing, keeps us just full enough before most restaurants open around 11 a.m. No other hotels in this price range in Tokyo would offer this, so I'm not understanding why people gotta be ungrateful and nitpick on free stuff. Any other hotels would've charged you at least 2000yen/person for some mediocre buffet.

The hotel is super conveniently located in Shibuya, 5-8 min walk from both JR and subway station. You are right in the middle of all the action you could want from Tokyo, shopping, restaurants, bars, game arcades, etc. Staff are always friendly, and spoke pretty good English.

Considering all aspects and comparing to other hotels in the city, this is a hotel I recommend if you are a young pack of travelers looking to be in the middle of action.

We wanted to stay in Shibuya for the start of our 3 week trip in Japan and chose this hotel because of its location and fair price. We booked a slightly larger room (modern double) because we were afraid the standard rooms were too small and it was a good call. The room was clean, comfortable and the amenities were of good quality. There was a complimentry basic breakfast with coffee, tea, juice and pastries. The staff was very nice and the location is perfect - about a 5 minutes walk from Shibuya crossing and station.

I stayed 2 nights during a recent trip. Up there with the best hotels i have stayed at. From the warm welcome at check-in to the very courtiess bar staff they all made quite an impression.
I would highly reccommend this hotel to anyone looking for good quality accommodation within walking distance of Shibuya station.

There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

Now that I think of it I don't seem to recall any cleaning service in the area and google is not helping either. I guess the best way to go is ask the hotel staff.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I see others have answered this accurately - thank you! Correctly, in Japan a single room means x 1 guest I believe. At Shibuya En there are rooms with twin beds (singles) and double... More
