If you have to stay in the Shinjuku area, this hotel is a great choice. It is the closest hotel to Shinjuku Station. Airport bus from Narita airport departs only in the afternoon for this hotel. Your other option is to take the bus to the Hilton and take a cab from there. I would advise against alighting the bus...

Great hotel and superb location on the yamanote line. I liked the convenience shop next to the elevator and the breakfast was simply awesome. I haven't tried the restaurants though: these looked quite expensive compared to what you'd get downtown. Even if you don't speak Japanese there is always a way to figure things out. The only glitch in my...

Stayed there 2 times in November and both rooms was excellent. Good breakfast on the 20th floor with a great view of the city, The hotel is only a stone trow away from shinjuku station and there is lots of things to do and eat in the area.

We stayed here for four nights and found it to be very comfortable and very convenient. As noted in other reviews, it is very close to a major transit hub and this made getting around easy. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quiet the hotel was despite the central location. Good food options were nearby. The room itself was...

This hotel is an excellent value. We chose a room with panoramic view. 1) It's located extremely close to the Shinjuku station, about a 2min walk to the closest entrance. Considering Shinjuku station is the busiest in Japan, this puts you in middle of the action, giving you an excellent base for excursions. 2) The rooms are modern, large, and...

Recently stayed in Tokyo at the CST. Close to the Shinjuku train station, about a 5 minute walk. Easy to take the Narita Express from the airport though this station is massive and confusing, so you must follow the signs. We you reach street level, you are greeted by bakeries & shops with wonderful goods. The hotel is along a...

Top notch accommodations and professional staff! Check in and check out was a snap. Scenic room facing Gyoen gardens was large and well appointed. Tokyo skyline is awesome scene to wake up to. We did have a momentary scare with the recent earthquake which woke us up when the room/building started to creak and the bed started to shake. But...

Our four nights at the Hotel Century Southern Tower were very enjoyable. The staff were all very helpful and polite, and they worked very hard to be sure that we all understood each other. Our room was not large, but it had enough room for the two of us. We were in the middle of one of the most crowded...

There is nothing you can fault about the location. It is perfect and convenient to everywhere! Stayed there during Winter and the last thing you want is really to be out in the cold. The hotel is a short walk to Shinjuku station and right opposite Takashimaya. There is no lack of food or shopping around this place. The popular...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
