Friendly staff and also located very near shinduku as well as walking distance from central Tokyo. The accommodation is very comfortable and very clean with very good facilities. Highly recommended for a stay of any length.

Really close to Akebonobashi metro station (<100m), and only a 21 minute walk from Shinjuku when you miss the last train home. Decent little capsules, no power point inside though. Pretty fair price for what you get (about $40AUD/night). Free tea/coffee and maps etc on the ground floor and decent common room on 9F (with beer in vending machines :).... More

After booking this hostel based purely on the price I was very surprised to find out how good it was. It is super close to the underground which makes visiting all the tourist attractions very easy and cheap, the hostel was clean with very nice showers and free tea and coffee 24/7. The reception were lovely and very accommodating. The... More

This hostel is very nice and clean, as japan standard ! Hostel have many floors with showers and loundry at the basement. You sleep in some kind of capsule beds, I fund it quite comfortable. The toilet is on the same floor of the beds and it is always clean. Staff speaking english and very helpful. Close to the underground... More

Ace Inn provides good value for money in Tokyo. Stayed here for 2 nights. The location is a great advantage. Its just within 100 mts from a subway station Akebonobashi. Very near to Shinjuku. There is a convenience store right opposite to the hostel. The staff are very helpful and speak english. I stayed in a dorm on the 10th... More

Hostel is a bit torn down, not too clean and cosy. The common room looks like in prison. Also the area is not that central that you would like to be if to pay that much for one night. Friendly staff though, free toiletries, coffee tea. Not a place where you would spend some time and hang out with people.

Stayed here for 4 nights in my first week and then another 2 nights at the end of my Japan trip. Location - Excellent. It's a 3 minute walk from the closet subway station and very close by to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Roppongi. These 3 areas are the best places for nights out. The subway closes around midnight and reopens... More

You really do get what you pay for here. I stayed in total 9 nights, and as far as cheap accommodation goes, it really isn't that bad. Yes the elevator is a bit smelly, the entire place is slightly run down, and yes the showers are in the basement - but at the end of the day everything works, there's... More

The place is simply average when it comes to accommodation and location. It's about a 20 minute walk from Shinjuku and at around 25 euros a night, it's a nice place if you're on a budget. Has all the standard amenities and the staff is always eager to help you get around. We stayed there for two nights and it's... More

The staff here are friendly and helpful but the facilities are lacking. The one elevator for this 10 story building is old, slow and will close on you on entry. Bathrooms on each floor are somewhat dirty and the basement toilets out of order. Good for a single night cheap stay, I wouldn't base a longer Shinjuku stay here.

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
