Discovered this area today, what a find I highly recommend a visit if you are staying in Takayama it is a one hour bus ride away, such a picturesque setting with thatched houses and remaining it’s old worldly charm!

great location in the very busy kabukicho, however i did not feel unsafe even alone. Room was bigger than I imagine and have everything I need. bed is soft. reception and café smell smoky. Lots of shopping and food choices around almost 24 h.
