When planning this trip with my son, I figured this would be a perfect time to try out a capsule hotel since we’d be both males and the anything-goes kind of people. Reservation for three nights via online was easy though but after the experience, it might not have even been necessary at all. (More about that later). Upon reaching...

This place ticks ALL the boxes. It gets 10 out of 10 from me for Hospitality--- cleanliness---IMMACULATE--- Location-- beside Train Station and Mc Donalds. The extras which are ALL complimentary, include unlimited tea coffee- minerals, towels, pyjamas and EVERYTHING one would need for showering and shaving. Also has a Hot Spring. For $45 this place is SUPERB.

For around $20USD you get free Wifi (good quality) a clean bed (capsule!) laundry facilities, vending machines, amenities, locker, pajamas, lounges, restaurant. Your only sacrifice is privacy...so (especially the bath situation) is not for everyone. Also having to check in/out each time to leave, reenter the building is a bit annoying but you do get to be in the middle...

It is right inside Kabukichō (歌舞伎町). A lot of restaurants and bars. Don Quijote just 驚安の殿堂 just a few step away and they open till super late (my last visit was mid-night). Girls room are on the top level with an extra locking door. It provided not only a capsule bedroom but a about 60cm tall locker and a share...

This experience in Japan is a must! But is only confortable for one night. The women section was really clean and confortable, really secure to keep your lugage there but every morning at 10am no matter how many night you will to stay, you must do checkout.

This was a pleasant stay, it was our first capsule hostel and was quite a surprise. If you are used to showering solo then be prepared! You shower in a large room with 10ish other men, but it doesn't stop there... you need to be seated when showering and the shower head is a hand held job. Apart from the...

I stayed at this capsule hotel with my partner for 2 weeks in October 2016. We have stayed in Shinjuku before as it is a great central location with train links in and around Tokyo, and this hotel is about 5-8mins walk from the station. On arrival in Shinjuku, we found the hotel easily with the help of a printed...

I checked in last October 17-19. The hotel was great. It is very clean and comfortable to stay. The only problem I had was looking for the location of the hotel. I didnt know that I was standing in front of the hotel already as what my GPS is showing since the signage is written in Japanese. Aside from that,...

I had a great "capsule" experience here. I stayed in a regular hotel for the first 3 nights and ended my Tokyo stay at the Shinjuku Kuyakushomae. I found the staff to be charming, friendly, and efficient. The capsules were big enough to not feel claustrophobic. And luckily, there were no noisy guests around that night, so it was quiet....

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
