Good hotel for sleep. And have good price for the location. Small room with big bath. The walls not in best shape. And really hard mattress. But overall good location to train station, restaurants, shops and movie theater. Not room service but cute breakfast. Good service, but not great. The location is great to explore Tokyo. A great and interesting...

We found this hotel safe, comfortable, and clean. The staff are very helpful and polite. The rooms small, but normal for Tokyo. The breakfast snack is tasty and delicious. A quiet hotel; no noise or interruptions to sleep. The bathroom is clean and has a bathtub and shower. A handy hotel for a short stay in the Shnjuku area of...

Was a little weary when I read the other reviews.. after 4 nights here I have no idea why people were complaining. This place was great! We travelled as two 6'+ men sharing 1 bed and managed to get an ACTUAL QUEEN SIZE BED, which was almost impossible to find without some outrageous overcharge in nearby business hotels. The room...

The location is good, rooms are clean and big comparing with the in town hotels, but not much service provided. No 24 hours front desk service, door will lock automatically after 1am every night. But overall is good.

I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of August. The hotel is conveniently close to many stations, metro and train. The closest metro station is Higashi-shinjuku, a 4 min walk from the hotel, from which you can take the Toei Oedo line and the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin line. The closest train station is Shin-okubo, an 8 min walk,...

We stayed here in May for a few nights and it was about 10 mins walk from Shinjuku station but that wasn't a problem. The hotel isn't far from the restaurants, which there are plenty of around. We stayed away from ordering breakfast from the hotel due to the bad reviews, besides there are plenty of places to find delicious...

I ended up booking this as the 'free breakfast' made it the 'best' value. Then I read the bad reviews and freaked. BUT, we have found the hotel is nice, clean, well equipped and well positioned. Don't understand the complaints about the walk to JR as it takes only about 9 minutes (how unfit are people?). But the breakfast is...

I've stayed at this hotel for a very short time, 2 nights. I think I like it because it is located closely to the shopping area and restaurants. However, you still have to walk quite a bit to get to main streets. The room is small but NOT too small as I expected. It is clean, organized and friendly services....

The hotel is not really located in the center of Shinjuku, but close enough for 10 minutes easy walk. Although the hotel is a bit far from the JR station, it's close to other subway stations. We mainly used Tokyo Metro lines so it's convenient for us. If you plan to explore Tokyo for a couple days, buy a 2...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
