Offerred an upgrade to a junior suite with no prompting, and needed to prompting to accept! Stayed for week and lived like Kings - wonderful high floor room with views of Shinjuku and access to the executive lounge for complimentary drinks, snacks and concierge 24hrs. Concierge was most helpful, organising various trips and even tracking down a postage tube for...

Great location for exploring Tokyo. 5 minutes walk from Shinjuku station and loads of opportunities for walking/exploring. And of course the staff are good here. Decent food, but good restaurants around. Cheap ones too if you want them.

We stayed in a Junior King Suite on the 32nd floor for 4 nights. It was a lovely and very spacious room with great views over Tokyo. We chose the Hilton as a place to wind down after a tiring tour of Northern Japan and it really lived up to expectations. The Room was excellent, staff were very helpful and...

Brilliant hotel, excellent location and even better staff! After a 24 hour journey into to Tokyo from London, I was glad to find that the airport had a 'Limousine' (minibus) service into Shinjuku and that the Hilton Tokyo was one of the few stops that it made. (Cost was 3,100Y/£17 per person) which saved time and effort of taking the...

This is one of the best hotel of Tokyo and these days seems to have high occupancy so don't leave your reservation until the week before. A high quality Hilton, relatively new and apparently earthquake resistant, fresh and clean. Enough English is spoken by the staff that communication is not a huge problem. The rooms are of good size considering the tight squeezes one can come across in Japan. The 2nd floor restaurants, as well as the 24hr main floor restaurant are excellent but, believe me,...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
