Recently in Shinjuku (arrived on the 24th Nov 2016 and it decides to snow after leaving home with a previous temp of 34C). Checked in my luggage as we got there at 8.00am, staff were great and spoke excellent english. Stayed for 4 nights. Staff as with all japanese people very friendly and had great communication skills. Great selection of... More

This hotel is close to shopping and has restaurants on the lower floor. Access to shinjuku station is a brisk 5 minute walk via a tunnel if you don't want to be exposed to the weather. It is 2 stops away from the busy Tokyo station and easy access to the shopping district. The hotel has large rooms available for... More

Rooms are smoke free. Clean. Staff are efficient but aseptic at times. When breakfast is going to be heavily booked, we got a note in our room which was a nice touch to help spread the crowd out. No coffee in the room and the fridge was sparse - a little disappointed for the price paid. Overall good but can... More

I spend 6 days in this hotel and definitly would not come back. The room is ok and clean, the bathroom is really old (plastic curtains in the shower) and the customer threatment is not good at all. They have denied my late check out (i explained that my wife is pregnant and my flight is very late night) and... More

Convenient, well run hotel in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel service is good. Since it is next to the Skinjuku rail station and several metro lines, it's very easy get around Tokyo using this hotel as a base. The breakfast buffet is excellent. If I were to visit Tokyo again, I would stay... More

Location: Convenient - is around a 10 minute walk to Shinjuku station. And another 10 mins to the Golden Gai area. Yet is still in quieter part of Shinjuku so one can relax once away from all the bars/restaurants/shops just minutes away. Room: Was in the south tower. Room was spacious with all the necessities. Clean and well kept. Food:... More

Big hotel with service minded staff. Easy to find from Shinjuku station, sparkling clean rooms with comfy beds. No smoke odour but I think I stayed in the refurbished tower. Make sure to book a seat in the airport transfer when you arrive, otherwise it might be fully booked, we forgot this and had to take the Narita Express instead.

I just arrived this morning. I talked to the lady at the check and told her that I had zero sleep on the flight and am happy to pay for an extra nights stay to have my room early. Despite rooms being available the lady took pleasure in denying my request. Behind the check in the key boxes have red... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
