The rooms were impeccable and the service was even better. It’s a huge hotel but I felt at home. The location is only a few steps from public transport but yet it felt serene and peaceful. The rooms deliver the regular Hyatt sense of discreet...More

Looks a bit old and dated online but some of the rooms have recently been refurbished. Ask for a room facing mount fuji. Close to Shinjuku station but even closer to two other subway stations. Service is very attentive. Would recommend this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel 3 times this month, keep coming back to this hotel after few trips around Japan. We took the shuttle from haneda and received an excellent service each time. From the very first time we stayed at this hotel, the front...More
The Hyatt Regency Tokyo is just okay for me, the product is a bit dated unless you are staying in a club room, seems they have been renovated and have more modern look. The room sizes are on the smaller size. The beds are hard. The...More

Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for
cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.

I brought my own as I'm particular to my hair dryer and care about my hair. I looked at bathroom pics prior to arrival as I was wondering the same thing. I did not try the one in the room but it was a small traditional hotel room hair dryer that I'm afraid to use as most fry your hair. Hope that helps. P.S. I did use their shampoo/conditioner and it wasn't bad.
