My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Park Hyatt. Everything was impeccable from our room to the restaurant and lounge areas. The staff could not have been more accommodating and professional. We were celebrating our honeymoon and they kindly presented us with a bottle of champagne and beautiful mini bouquet of flowers. They really set the bar...

We had an amazing 4 day stay. Service was magical. Room and bathroom were great. Concierge was great. Breakfast buffet, which was mediocre to good, would be my only complaint. All other food options were wonderful. NY Bar is a gem.

Top notch, comfortable, clean, seren and classy. They know what they are doing here. Great place and location for restful first days in Japan. We made good use of the bars here. If I had a chance I would branch out for cocktails. We also stayed at another high end hotel in Tokyo to end our trip. This was superior

This place absolutely lives up to it's reputation. My husband and I booked a room last minute while on our honeymoon and were blown away. We had the deluxe king and couldn't believe how beautiful the room was, the outstanding view, and all of the amenities. They even had ice waiting for us in the ice bucket. The only problem...

My wife and I have stayed here several times. The experience is excellent as usual (for Park Hyatt Tokyo). Let me share what's special with this trip - New Year breakfast. We checked in on the New Year day. For Diamond members, the breakfast is included (in the restaurant or as room service). Upon checkin, we were told that there...

Don't get me wrong, this hotel IS great. Is it the best hotel in Tokyo though.... probably not. The service, as you would expect, is 5 star, but everything else is 4 star. The rooms are a bit small and unremarkable (I actually preferred the rooms in the hyatt regency). The peaks bar is great, as is New York grill,...

I first stayed at The Park Hyatt Tokyo in March of this year with the family and returned in December by myself. The experience was just like the last time. The warm welcome at the main door, the check-in inside the room, the exceptional service provided by the staff, the comfortable large room with a great view, the nice amenities....

Before the stay I was a bit concerned that I would find the hotel outdated but I was proven wrong. It continues to provide the utmost oasis and luxury that never fade with time - everything about it is extremely sophisticated. I did see some wear and tear in the guest room but it did not bother me at all....

This is truly a fabulous hotel. Beautiful to walk into and comfortable to stay at - we enjoyed our stay of 7 days very much. Some critics call the decor of the rooms outdated, I call them perfect. They are not "trendy" or ultra contemporary in design but are incredibly comfortable with everything you could possibly need and then some....

This place really has everything. From the very first moment we arrived, the staff made sure we were attended to and comfortable. This excellent service was present everywhere, in the restaurants, spa, and reception area. The receptionist helped me plan almost the entire rest of my trip, which was so helpful. I recommend getting the traditional Japanese breakfast for at...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
