This was a fantastic hotel with fantastic and seamless service. Our bags were taken at the door and delivered to our room once we checked in. This process was simple. The check in clerk already knew our name when we arrived at his desk. The room was comfortable with evening service every night. Each day our bedding looked cleaned and...

Had a great time staying at the Park Hyatt Tokyo for a few nights. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very helpful and nice. We stayed at a couple other hotels on our trip an this was the nicest one. It was not as good a location as some of the other hotels. But the accommodations, restaurants, and...

Great hotel and worth the visit and the money. The hotel starts at the 41st floor all the way up to the 51st floor. Spectacular views of Mount Fuji, and the City in all directions. The hotel is blessed with truly outstanding top class restauarants, lounges and spa, all with superb facilities and views. Good location. Unfortunately these restaurants, lounges...

Park Hyatt Tokyo is a classic luxury hotel that is, in many ways, showing tiredness of age – service is courteous, but a little all over the place, check in takes very long, the hotel in itself is still stately but public areas and rooms are a little past their prime. Housekeeping makes an excellent first impression, to be fair....

I had never been to Tokyo - but my friend suggested that - all "Lost in Translation" cliches aside - that Park Hyatt Tokyo was exceptional. He was right - full stop. I was in Tokyo for a week and every aspect of my stay at the Park Hyatt was exceptional. The gym/pool is mind blowing modern and cool, service...

The Park Hyatt Tokyo was our first stop on our first trip to Japan and it did not disappoint. Our trip would take us to three Hyatts across Japan and, as one might expect, the PHT was the best! Arriving jet-lagged, we were able to immediately relax on our high-floor room. The concierge helped us make taxi arrangements for our...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
