the location is superb, walking distance to some of the main attractions within areas of shinjuku and shibuya. situated directly on a subway line making easy acces to entire tokyo. breakfasts are good, staff nice. only the rooms are rarther tiny, which is however quite typical for tokyo. considering all it is a good value for money. btw about 10...

We were budget travellers and found this Hotel. It was a great experience beginning to end. We found our triple room was extremely spacious, the bathroom was sensational, with the shower having its' own room. The bathrooms were bigger than normal Japanese bathrooms. The beds were comfy and room was tidy. It isn't 'luxury'', but it certainly is a great...

We stayed at Hotel Rose Garden for our last 2 nights in Tokyo so we could get a real taste of what Shinjuku had to offer. The hotel is very conveniently located to the subway and a short walk to the action in Shinjuku. The rooms are typically small but clean and contain all the things you need for a short...

We stayed here a few nights, and it was great to have a triple bed room for our family. It didn't leave much space, but it was fine for a short stay. There was a small fridge, and good size bath/ shower room. The staff was nice, but didn't speak much English, and didn't go out of their way, though...

I only stayed here for one night but I was very happy with my experience. I was impressed that their check-in time was so early (1 PM compared to most hotels I've stayed at which is 3-4 PM), but I still got there a little early. They were happy to hold my luggage for me and brought it up to...

So this review is a little late so things may be different now. This hotel is frankly awesome. They are small rooms but functional and comfortable. The staff are really friendly and can't do enough to help you. It's a really short walk (5 minutes) to the massive Shinjuku train station (just come out of the hotel and turn left)....

We're a family of 5 adults and 2 kids. I originally booked 2 rooms only prior to our trip. The books I was able to book are limited to 2 adults per room only. However, I was thinking of having the kids and myself as extra persons when we arrive. Upon checking in, I was asked to have an additional...

Wonderful boutique hotel near Nishi-Shinjuki station, surrounded by restaurants and shops and landscaped avenues. Italian restaurant on the premises, parking adjacent to the hotel. Fairly larger rooms for Japan, all amenities included. Warm and effect service.

The location of this hotel puts you right in the area you want to be. The room was a good size for Japan. While most hotel rooms in Japan are super squashy this was OK. We only stayed the one night but the staff were only too helpful giving directions and dining advise. The price was excellent cheaper than we...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
