The location was excellent as it was a short walk (2 ~ 3 mins) from JR Shinjuku Station. There were plenty of cafe, restaurants and bars. Lawson (convenient store) was next to the hotel and 7-eleven was less than a block walk across from the street. We stayed at standard room and was okay size. But our friends stayed at...

This is one of the most convenient hotels you will find in the Shinjuku area. It is located just outside of the shopping area. There are all kinds of shops and restaurants in the area within an easy walk. If you are a camera bug, this hotel is only 2 blocks from Yodobashi! Take the airport shuttle bus rather than...

Location is good, Room is regular size, acceptable. But breakfast is awful. Taste bad and not much choice. if you choice this hotel, do not take the hotel breakfast. You could easier to find any cafe around the hotel.

The hotel is old and could use some updating, however the hotel and rooms are clean and the location is excellent. The front desk staff are excellent and will help you with any questions that you have. One of the staff was fluent in English and she was tremendous as she answered any questions I had about the City. I...

Kadoya is a short stroll to Shinjuku station – central location, easy to find and the room is quiet. We had a room for 3 people and all beds were single – no foldaways. The room was dated and a bit musty. It really needs a renovation – carpet was stained and bed sheet feels stiff and worn. The small...

I stayed here as a solo traveler - so the small room was not much of an issue - for just a night. It is within walking distance of the train station and very close to the location of a meetup point for a tour I had. The hotel is small but has some nice touches - a gift shop,...

This hotel is very conveniently located close to Shinjuku Station so getting here was really easy. The staff was very friendly and service minded. Rooms are small and there is no place to store your clothes, bed ok but mattress and pillows are worn out. Luckily you can pick up a new one in the reception. Breakfast at the next...

Spent 6 nights at the Kadoya. Staff are really friendly and assist with all inquiries. Located at Shinjuku. Shinjuku station is very difficult to navigate use exit 5,6 or 7 all are almost next to each other About a 3 minute walk from the limousine bus stop, limousine bus is probably the easiest way to get to and from the...

The hotel is dated. I stayed in a single room before my friend arrived where we moved to a twin room. The single room was dated, little room to move or put luggage, and the sheets were quite dated as well. The twin room was better, better maintained, no stain on my sheets and slightly more room. The hotel staff...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
