Rooms are small but very well appointed. After the initial disappointment of the room, we learned to love the hotel. Good restaurants, nice bar with water feature and live music. Nice breakfast included. Staff was very helpful with directions and maps as we planned our routes around this beautiful city. Free wifi which we consider important when travelling distances from...

The hotel is located only a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station's South Exit, along side the main street. Because of good location, it is easy to reach restaurants/cafes and department stores including some large electrical stores. The room size is decent, same as normal Japanese business hotel, but larger than Washington Hotel according to my friend who has stayed...

Enjoyable stay at the Keio Presso Inn, it was very clean, nicely located and very well thought. The room was absolutely tiny, but I was quite impressed with the lay out. The breakfast was a bit weird (potato salad) but otherwise everything was fine.

This hotel is your standard Japanese business hotel. It has friendly staff, clean but small rooms with a TV, AC, mini bathroom, slippers, toothbrush, etc. Business hotels like this one are great for people who are not bringing huge bags, and who do not need special care and attention from concierge. One advantage this hotel has over some of the...

After staying at a horrible hotel (Washington Hotel) for two nights, I decided to look for a better one and found the Presso Inn. The staff really made you feel welcome and my room was super clean, like the rest of the hotel. The complimentay breakfast was delicious. If I ever go back to Japan I'll for sure stay at...

I didn't expect much as this is an inn but was pleasantly surprised that it was located only a few minutes from the key offices in Shinjuku. It wasn't as much of a hassle to travel or go here if you do business or have a conference near the area. If you're hungry, there are various restaurants for soba, gyudon...

A quick 10 minute walk from the south exit of Shinjuku station this hotel was easy to find (the sign at the top of the building can be seen from 5 minutes down the road). The staff speak basic English and although the rooms are tiny are fine for the solo traveller. Rooms are extremely clean and they offer pastries...

After suffering a week in a youth hostel with a sports team I was so glad to find a civilised clean hotel which was reasonably priced in Shinjuku Tokyo. It can be difficult to find hotels as they are not easily recognisable but the Presso Inn has a sign which can be seen from the street (providing you look up...

Booked this hotel for a business trip in Shinjuko since it was right by my destination. English is spoken at the front desk so you can call and make a reservation. This is a small budget hotel, and accomodations match the price, which is very low by Tokyo standards. This may be a good choice for a quick one night...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
