I cannot say enough about this hidden gem Ryokan nestled in the heart of the Shina Machi neighborhood that is so well run by one family and their friends. From Nicholas-san and Hiroshi-san, the non family managers who are truly part of the extended family, to Masa-san, the owner manager, Betty-san, the director of housekeeping owner, Mama and Papa and... Brilliant and friendly staff who really go out of their way to help you - even cycling after us with a forgotten item. There is a large heated bath at the top of the inn, which you can rent. This is a wonderfully relaxing experience and should not be missed.

All the staff are the friendliest people and they were so helpful in telling us exactly how to get to our destinations in Tokyo. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the station but honestly the walk was one of my favorite parts of the trip! The hotel is in a middle of a beautiful town where you can... More

It was our first accomodation in Japan and it was a very good experience. It is a family hotel with just few rooms. We were traveling with our seven year old son so we‘ve picked a triple room. The room was big enough, clean and cozy. The neigborhood of this hotel is very quiet. Just about 10 minutes walk from... More

Very helpful staff, their english is awesome. The traditional rooms are very nice if you want a genuine japanese experience. The location is a bit off-center, but nothing that can't be managed. A nice place to rest your weary bones after a day of sightseeing.

We (myself and my wife) returned to Tokyo to celebrate our anniversary and wanted a different experience; to see the real Tokyo (previously stayed at Park Hyatt). The staff at Family Inn Saiko made it possible. They gave us recommendations for local places to eat, and actually went with us to one restaurant to help us order and phoned the... More

Really nice place to stay in a charming neighbourhood. We loved the atmosphere (and the comfy futon mattresses were just perfect). The best thing though was the friendly and helpful staff, they were just amazing!

“They will likely assign the rooms. But this is a good place to stay after trying other Ryokans out. Very clean (like most Ryokans) but the in-room bathroom adds to comfort and convenience. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but is still close to major subway stations and has a lot of delicious food.”
