The owner/manager is very nice and helps making the stay a very pleasant one. The location is interesting: 12 minutes walk from the (blessedly) small Kanamecho metro station, where you can take a direct metro to places like Shinjuku/Harajuku/Shibuya, as well as Ginza. In that sense it is actually very well located. I also liked living in such a quiet...

I spent three nights in Family Inn Saiko in late October 2016, incidentally my introduction to Japan. A fantastic choice. Knowing very little about the layout (and nothing about the feel) of Tokyo prior to arriving, I was initially a little concerned about the location, i.e., whether it would be too far out of the centre of town and/or difficult...

Really enjoyed my time at Family Inn Saiko. It's a little hard to find and a reasonable distance from the city centre however it is a really great place to stay. The hospitality of the staff was just wonderful. You will be staying in Japanese style accommodation so you really feel like you are part of the Japanese culture. The...

This is the third time I stayed in Family Inn Saiko. I love this family-run hostel. Good location, convenience, and quiet place to stay. Staff are nice and friendly. Me and my mum enjoyed the time staying in Tokyo.

Nice place, very helpful staff, sleeping on tatami gets little tough after a week... It is close to Kanamecho metro-station in an authentic, quiet neighbourhood, with a coin laundry around the corner and a Fudo myo- shrine with an ashtray ( important for smokers! :-) across the street.

Great hotel. Very nice and extremely clean rooms. Staff are very friendly and can speak multiple languages to accommodate all visitors. Located in a quiet part of town. Not too far from the hussle and bustle of Tokyo city centre. Local subway station very handy. I had a great stay. Anyone who stays needs to do the kimono experience with...

Where do I begin? ... The staff at Family Inn Saiko are wonderful people, they make you feel at home and are extremely polite and helpful. Hiroshi-San welcomed us into the hotel and showed us to our rooms. We stayed there for one week and can honestly say we would love to come back here and stay again. Thank you...

I cannot say enough about this hidden gem Ryokan nestled in the heart of the Shina Machi neighborhood that is so well run by one family and their friends. From Nicholas-san and Hiroshi-san, the non family managers who are truly part of the extended family, to Masa-san, the owner manager, Betty-san, the director of housekeeping owner, Mama and Papa and...

“They will likely assign the rooms. But this is a good place to stay after trying other Ryokans out. Very clean (like most Ryokans) but the in-room bathroom adds to comfort and convenience. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but is still close to major subway stations and has a lot of delicious food.”
